Usually after meets I give myself a month to have a mental break from lifting. Not to say I haven’t been lifting, but it just becomes a lower priority for this month as I use this time to go out, eat whatever, and socialize with friends on the weekends. •

Recently have become reinvested in my goals and am inspired to give 100%. Currently eating to fuel my lifts, going hard af in the gym, and taking sleep more seriously. Don’t plan on drinking any alcohol for a while and if you see me in DTA sober - it’s cause I wanna be social without affecting my athletic performance. 🦁

Super happy about this meet, unofficially (wasn’t a state meet so didn’t “count”) broke the American BP record w 308!!😊😊 Won first and “Best Lifter.” •

Went 8/9 missing my last deadlift (switched to sumo last minute because geared conventional is actual hell), haven’t pulled sumo since collegiate nationals so will def practice a few more before nats. 😂 Thankful to my team above all else, everyone I got to meet, and my amazing coach who helped me program around a PRT, wisdom tooth surgery, and helped me crush this meet all in the same month.
