This shirt, the card game happening, the patience with his grandkids explaining the game...this picture says a lot about my dad. He is the epitome of humble, taught me about hard work, puts his family above everything else, is truly a man of his word and will give you the Hawaiian shirt off his back. So happy to celebrate another 365 days of this man! Happy (late) Birthday Dad! I love you!
We had the best day yesterday, but I didn’t take one picture. 😬 I was busy cooking and entertaining and loving on all our guests. I love a holiday about gathering and gratitude and food. And today, I’m grateful for helpful kids and this one who said he loved this job I gave him so much, he wants his own bottle of @pledge for Christmas. 🤷♀️ Sure kid. You bet. 😉
I went to history museums, ate at some favorite spots and some new favorites, spent time with my family and visited the spot where I said “I do.” As recreated by the above picture. Utah never fails to fill my cup and as much as I love my New England home, The Beehive State will always have a piece of my heart.
That kind of friendship that no matter how many miles or years are between you, it’s so easy to pick up right where you left off. Our itinerary in 2018 is a little different than it was in 2002. 🙃Hiking, yoga, poolside lunch and a spa afternoon with this smart, talented and hilarious friend is just what I needed to hit that proverbial reset button. Lots of deep breaths and happy laughs.
We were in the stands, we were in the car, we were at a restaurant, we were on our couch. We cheered this team on from a lot of places this season. So excited we have a title to celebrate! (And you’re the man Steve Pearce! 😭) #RedSoxNation
