"The answer lies within.
At times it's clear and there is
no hesitation; But many times
it is muted by a louder voice
that is constantly on the search
for some sort of external validation.
A fear so deeply rooted that we
might not even realize it's presence.
So don't rush. Take time to listen.
Water only clears when stillness
allows for all the muck
to settle at the bottom.
Your mind works no differently."

Do what you love. Love what you do.
Although I'm passionate about spreading yoga and its message, I'm not passionate about getting a microphone on and getting in front of a crowd. A few years ago, heck, even a few months ago I wouldn't have imagined I'd be where I am today emotionally. Today I put myself in a vulnerable position, going first after the run and asking it to stay that way. (Even though my only request from the start was NOT to go first 😂) I truly believe everything happens for a reason and that everything is how it should be, even if it doesn't go the way you wanted. I had a yummy delicious post-run flow planned and when I got through the first asana (pose) I completely forgot where I was going. Regardless, I strived on, told myself it was okay, and kept doing what felt right. It was that humbling reminder that not everything is going to go the way I planned it BUT if it did I wouldn't be where I am now. As much as I was discouraged I didn't get to do the fun transitions or say the things I wanted to say I'm proud of what I did accomplish. I got to share a bit of yoga with incredible service members and their families. The things we do for the things we love. I'm excited I have something to progress with and I look forward to any other opportunities to share the mental and physical practice with my peoples (even if it is on a microphone in a not so yogic environment) I'm grateful for the opportunity with MWR to share the practice and to participate in the Health and Wellness fair! 🏃🏃♀️
