Fingers plunged into the fruit A flame of rouge; a heart of seed Are we so ripened for the blade Yet left to spoil beneath the tree —————————————————— Photo/poem: me Set assistant: @model_v.marie Model: @toxiicsamii
My heart doesn't break It shatters and splinters It freezes and cracks Like the coldest of winters It melts into liquid It trickles and runs It heads for the sea Where it waits for the sun —————————————————— Model: Audrianna Set assistance: @bethanybrewster Photo/poem: me —————————————————— I found a lamp roughly the color of skin tone, then smashed it and scattered the pieces around the model. I matched the skin color to the lamp paint and used photoshop for the rest of the illusion.
It wasn’t me I didn’t float the clouds Or hang the winter moon A pilgrimage Across this mortal plane Is what I’m on It wasn’t me Who squeezed the dew from mist And made the flowers bloom A stranger In this fairy tale, and then I must be gone —————————————————— I had a concept I really wanted to execute, but couldn’t work out the logistics with the model and Mother Nature, so I rendered this in Daz3D and finished it up in Photoshop. The model, in this case, is digital, so the shoot was pretty easy. The conversation was a bit one-sided, though.
Misapplied and misconstrued The languages our bodies use Indelible, she is to me Am I the forest; she the trees To dance a dance of dissonance Whatever come, I swear to this No quarter given, everything You had and still you have today —————————————————— In frame: @jolesa_starks Photo assistant: @bethanybrewster Poem/photo: me
My heart doesn't break It fills up the oceans It turns and it changes Like innate emotions Till sunlight assaults it And heats it to vapor It rains down like words On the surface of paper —————————————————— In frame: @justmag7777 Photo/poem: me —————————————————— If you want to see the high speed making of this, it’s on YouTube and linked in my highlights.
Nectar of the goddess Evanescent form Body of the universe Omen of the storm —————————————————— In frame: @miss.thaze Photo: me Styling: @bethanybrewster —————————————————— Shot in studio and composited with splashes of milk. And no, she isn’t really that white.
Swipe to see the original image shot out my windshield on the highway. Other than adding @kathryn.anastasia in the window, almost everything else is from the original image or digitally painted. 2 total photos in this composite.
We are the seeds —————————————————— In frame: @jolesa_starks Photo: me Styling: @bethanybrewster —————————————————— Part of a food series. More to come!
Swipe for the animated version of this. I received several questions about animating this image, so I created a YouTube tutorial with project files for anyone interested. Link will be in the highlights. —————————————————— In frame: @dashauofficial Photo: me
It’s never as dark In the deepest of space As it is in your heart When you’ve murdered faith No void in the cosmos So deep or so wide As the sadness I see When I look in your eyes —————————————————— In frame: Audrianna Photo/Poem: me
I’m as safe as I’ve ever been —————————————————— In frame: @ohitsjustlittleoleme Set assistance: @djsunshine23 Photo/edit: me —————————————————— This was inspired by one of my favorite artists, @vizerskaya_official, who has all kinds of amazing work you should check out. I absolutely stole this idea and made it my own. Also, this was my first test of @vflatworld v flats, which I’ve used repeatedly since.
Stroked in the darkness on opposite sides Are the secrets which sunlight has yet to un-hide Buried shallow in shadows that long to be found Like a treasure for taking in soft fertile ground —————————————————— In frame: @dashausova_ Photo/poem: me —————————————————— If you’re interested in replicating this effect, I have a tutorial in my highlights which will teach you the technique.
Something is always missing —————————————————— In frame: @brontebay Photo: me —————————————————— I might be going out of my mind.
We lit the air ablaze with questions we don't say I can't remember why the speaking makes me ache —————————————————— In frame: @lilyliqueur Assistance: @bethanybrewster —————————————————— I’d like to thank Disney for inspiring this one. Anyone want to guess which Disney character I referenced?
We are not on speaking terms at the moment —————————————————— In frame: @ohitsjustlittleoleme Partner in crime 1: @djsunshine23 Partner in crime 2: @nataliesmallphotography Shot at: @thelumenroom —————————————————— We think of our identity as singular; as if we are one person with whom others around us can interact. In fact, we often feel as though we have multiple distinct sides, and it is easy to feel unknown, even to close friends; as if there is a secret version of ourselves that we suppress beneath the more public, likable sibling identity. What about you do people misunderstand?
Intergalactic transport. Had some mundane candid taxi photos from my last NYC trip, so...remix! This is a combination of several shots, 3D renders of planets I created in Photoshop, and some digital painting. I also used @brainfeverapps Lens Flare to add some punch to the lighting.
Looking forward to the annual Dragon’s Halloween Ball this weekend. This is a shot from a poster series we did for the event. If you’re in the Dallas area, come by and enjoy the insanity. —————————————————— In frame: @briannapaige143 Black tape by: @thedragonluna MUA: @brandidiblerarts Photo/art: me
They can’t be seen The things within Not touched or felt By anyone Except myself And I alone Beneath my skin They find a home These lurid pangs Of solitude And here or there A gleam of earth They can’t be seen Within my frame But I contain A universe —————————————————— In frame: @lilyliqueur Styling: @bethanybrewster Set assistant: @kathryn.anastasia Photo: me —————————————————— This was created by digitally painting edges and masking out the shape. I’m fascinated by manipulating the human figure. It serves, in my mind, as a physical representation of a cognitive construct of identity. Identity has always been a central theme of my work, and underlies all my imagery.
