Stopped to snag this shot as I was heading back to the refugio after hiking to the dragon lake in the Tymfi mountains, northern Greece. Fun fact, the tiny star to the left of the peak is actually the planet Mars.
Finding nice seascapes to photograph in Costa Rica turned out to be a challenge as most of the country's coastline consists of beaches. Perfect for sunbathing but not necessarily for landscape photography. Low tide made things a little easier. Here I got lucky when a bird landed on the rock in front of me and sat there watching the sunset for a long time (or so I'd like to imagine).
A colorful sunset high in the mountains of Costa Rica. It was a bit of an adventure getting there with a sedan though. We got stuck halfway up a steep dirt road and had to wait for someone to come by and help us push. Frustrating at that moment but in the end it was worth the hassle!
After having walked all night to the top of Volcán Barú, totally missed out on the sunrise due to clouds at the top and then started our descent this scene caught my eye. I'm glad I got something out of it, although one might argue that a 10 hour hike is a steep price to pay for a single photo 😛
Some driftwood washed up on a beach on the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica. It's freezing here in Sweden at the moment so I definitely miss the warm temperatures of Central America. Being able to stay out photographing until after dark wearing only shorts and a t-shirt is awesome!
