Waking up and getting out the door for some exercise while traveling. I love jogging around a new place and seeing the area. It’s not always easy to get up and out but you just have to do it! I always feel better and more awake after!

Went on a run, got all sweaty and felt my muscles tightening up. Perfect time to work on some Pilates Arc routines at home ✨. Feels so good on my tight legs, plus the belly/psoas gets a nice stretch while working.

Do holiday weeks feel shorter or longer to you? Does the 4th of July in the middle of the week break up the work week for you? For me It feels like a shorter week even though I’m still teaching! It’s a fun morning to teach, we listen out our windows as the Hermosa Beach Ironman is going on. I love the buzz and energy in the studio hearing about everyone’s plans. Most of us will be at the beach for some sunshine!!!

Enough with the excuses! Eeeek getting back into workouts post injury is not easy. Don’t get me wrong I love to exercise and feel amazing afterward. It’s that initial get up and go that’s so hard after a long break. I’m feeling very winded 😂. I don’t blame people who haven’t worked out much before or coming off a long break for having a hard time getting started with their workouts! But I swear stick with it and after a week or so you will feel completely different. Try signing up for a class, or challenging yourself to just 15 mins of movement. Once you get started 15mins usually turns into more as those endorphins get pumping. No more excuses for me, it’s time to get some cardio, legs and abs in. Still not full body/arm work yet but I’ll take what I can get 🏃‍♀️.
