It's been a while since I posted about what I cook for the day. And to start again, hopefully pag sinipag to continue, here's a recipe that will touch your soul and warm your heart ❤. And because I can't eat anything else as I have undergone two root canal operations yesterday 🤣🤣 Soft food diet for the next weeks!
One of my favorites, Pumpkin (Kalabasa) Soup!
.Chicken Broth - made from boiled chicken with onion, salt, pepper, thyme
.Coconut Milk/All Purpose Cream (either or both. I used both on this recipe)
1. Boil the chicken in medium heat. Use the soup base parts na nabibili sa grocery or palengke. Wag takpan ang lid at may lalabas na parang foam from the chicken. Remove the foam.
2. Add the onion, cut in quarters, salt, pepper and thyme. Reduce the heat if it's already boiling and let it simmer till later.
3. Cook the bacon on another pan. Remove once it has released oil and it's brown.
4. Add the squash, cut into cubes. Sauté for a while then add the chicken broth.
5. Wait for the squash to soften then masg. It's easier if you will use a blender to pulverize the squash, but if you're like me, you can use a strainer and a spatula.
6. Add the cream/coconut milk then let it boil. Add salt/fish sauce if needed.
7. Enjoy it while hot!

Sobrang sulit ng foods! May kasama nang salad, rice (siyempre di ako kumain), miso soup tas unli water haha. May sugpo, sausages, oysters, scallops, wagyu cubes, wagyu loaf, yakitori, pork, spam and much more! May authentic Japanese drinks din sila if trip niyo.
But here's the catch, 45 minutes lang ang allotted time. Pero kahit ganon, busog busog at solve na solve ka na! Ang babait pa ng staff :) How to get there aside Uber/Grab/Taxi.

Chicken Pesto Pasta 🧀🥗🐔🍅
It's been a month since I started my weightloss journey. It all began when I joined the company wide biggest loser competition.
Ang laki kasi ng pot money mga bes, pano ka di gaganahang sumali diba? Dagdag na rin sa ipon para sa kasal haha!
Kidding aside, one of my biggest and most probably my main inspiration why I joined is because I'm tired of being fat. I'm tired of being overweight. I'm tired of buying new clothes just because most of my clothing doesn't fit me anymore. I'm tired of seeing someone in the mirror that even I can't recognize. And most importantly, I need to start taking care of my body.
Like most of diets out there, and sa ilang beses ko nang nagtry maglose ng weight, the first few days were the hardest. I had to remove rice in my system. I had to remove sugar as well. Wala nang frappés or softdrinks. Kung gusto ko man mag fruitshake, I see to it na little to no sugar ang iniinom ko. Kung dati puro thigh part kinakain ko, tas two piece pa at extra rice, ngayon puro chicken breasts na at patatas!
Sa mga nagsasabing, "patatas/pasta? Eh carbs din un." Well, mas mabilis kasi masatisfy ang katawan sa isang medium size na patatas na parang 1/2 rice lang ang hitsura. And if you know me well, di kasya sakin ang 1/2 rice. Mga times 4 pa niyan or more. I had to cut down my junkfoods. Bawal na Vcut huhu and the like.
Nakakalungkot ba? Maraming bawal? Haha. Sa totoo lang, ako hindi. Bagkus, (yes deep) mas nag eenjoy ako sa mga kinakain ko ngayon. Totoo nga ang sinasabi nila, masaya at mas fulfilling pag ikaw nag peprepare ng lulutuin mo araw araw. You know yourself kung anong pumapasok sa katawan mo. I seldom eat at fastfood restaurant nowadays. Laging lutong bahay. Buti na lang talaga at supportive ang magulang ko, ang GG ko @wonderfel at mga officemates. And syempre kay God, na nandiyan para pigilan ako kumain ng cake. Ahaha chos.
I still have a long way to go before my target weight in 3 months. So far nakaka 1/3 na ako sa target ko haha. Konting kayod pa!
There's really no shortcut in weightloss. It's all hardwork, discipline, determination, and pera (jk). :) And Exercise!
PS. Yan ang meal ko today. Haha
