This was a really fun one to write and to make! @woolwich_dairy sent me some of their goat butter to try and bake with! I love how it turned out in two very different desserts. It gave a beautiful texture and density to my zucchini bread, and made my cookies some of the most beautifully soft I’ve ever had. Definitely worth experimenting with and adding to your baking arsenal. And if you weren’t convinced this would be a fun read, an excerpt:
What’s better than a day spent camping? Well, honestly, a lot of things if you’re asking me. (Why lay on the ground when you can lay in your bed, right?) Read by clicking link in bio or swiping up on my most recent story.
It’s #nationaltequiladay ! I know a lot of people think of tequila as that drink you took shots of with salt and a lime. Personally, I’ve always loved tequila based cocktails, and even just tequila in an ice cold glass, sipping on a hot day. When @hornitoscanada sent me this beautiful bottle of Black Barrel I was excited. Aged in toasted oak barrels and then again in darkly charred American Oak barrels and again in lightly toasted barrel- this made for an amazing tequila! I made a version of an old fashioned with bitters, lime and vermouth and it was the perfect drink for a warm weeknight!
It’s #nationalmartiniday and I’m excited to share my take on an appletini using @sipsmith gin! I’m not a fan of overly sweet cocktails which is why I usually love a good martini. I made this with gin soaked Granny Smith apples, vermouth and gin! The perfect clean tasting drink for a hot day like today! Love how #sipsmithgin makes the perfect base for this cocktail and the perfect gin for National Martini Day! What’s your favourite martini? #cocktails#martini
Taking the week off to recharge and get some much needed rest. Starting the day off with one of my favorites- my savoury French toast with Parmesan and thyme. What are your breakfast faves?
