There is more space in an atom than there is density. The same is true for your cells. The space between you and I is greater than the space we occupy. It is easy to mistake this space as nothingness. The space between what we identify as something. In fact this space is full of everything. Pulsing with pure consciousness...if only our senses were attuned enough to detect it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s the power of our practice. As our awareness expands we have a direct experience with consciousness and then with time we are able to perceive its presence everywhere and in everything ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sadhana...it’s more than just doing a daily practice. 
What transforms doing yoga techniques into practicing Yoga is the intention with which we show up. 
Sadhana asks us to pour everything that we think we are into the fire of transformation. It requires effort to show up but ultimately only surrender can deliver us to our true nature beyond what we have constructed as mind and personality. 
Thank you @yogaruparodstryker for creating a space for me to bask in the light of awareness for the last two weeks. So many gifts to continue unpacking in my practice 🙏🏽

Sadhana...it’s more than just doing a daily practice. What transforms doing yoga techniques into practicing Yoga is the intention with which we show up. Sadhana asks us to pour everything that we think we are into the fire of transformation. It requires effort to show up but ultimately only surrender can deliver us to our true nature beyond what we have constructed as mind and personality. Thank you @yogaruparodstryker for creating a space for me to bask in the light of awareness for the last two weeks. I feel a major shift occurring internally during my exploration of Yoga Nidra with @yogaruparodstryker ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am in awe of how this ancient tradition of Yoga continues to gift me with new tools to explore expanded awareness

Perhaps our greatest embodiment is to welcome all connections and experiences as opportunities to learn and grow?

We are nomads who get to teach yoga and meditation around the world together and recently we we were inspired to create a space at home for STILLNESS and CONNECTION. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a small idea to gather some people for a group meditation and a discussion about important topics that keep us from feeling connected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Something quite powerful has happened since then. A whole lot of AMAZING PEOPLE we know offered their time, energy and ideas to support this space (you will meet them all tonight) ...with their help it has grown into something quite incredible and is providing a space for authentic connection that we didn’t even realise was needed so much in Melbourne. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@stillspacecommunity #4 is on TONIGHT and the theme we will explore together is simply connection...what helps us feel connected and why in a city full of 4.5 million people we can still feel so disconnected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our special guest for the night is @mariamissaofficial and she is an incredible force of inspiration around the value of community and connection. I cannot wait to introducing her to you! All the PROCEEDS from the night will be shared with her initiative @raw_australia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After years of meeting patients and students who were struggling and not having the language and tools to help I decided to educate myself on how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental illness and how to help someone who is not well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The course was so powerful in raising my awareness and teaching me how I can support others that I decided to become an instructor to share it with others. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Repeat after me: It’s OK to not be OK. With modern life pulling us in so many directions we may reach a point where our resources can’t meet the demands. Sometimes we also experience traumatic and painful events that we don’t just ‘bounce’ back from.  Left unmanaged these experiences can lead to the development of anxiety, depression and substance abuse disorders. In fact, in Australia this will happen to 1 in 5 of us in any one year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When a system in the body breaks down it is no longer able to function and process. The mind is just like that. When we struggle to process our experiences in a healthy way the mind can become unwell, but there is SO much treatment available. Both medical and holistic. The sooner you seek help, the faster you can recover and actually most people who have an episode of mental illness may never have a second episode once they are well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s OK to not be OK. Learn to recognise the signs to help yourself and others. Look out for each other! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fear set in...change would be necessary. My ego was challenged by the thoughts of letting go of a role I had worked hard towards. Would I be throwing all that hard work away? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The voice became louder...it whispered from deep within my heart. It asked me to take a leap from the safety of what I knew into the unknown.

What I have learned about diving head first into the abyss is that at first I felt like i was free falling. There was no floor or ceiling and the lack of boundaries to lean into felt scary. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I filled my days with teaching and practicing and just being rather than the structure of constant doing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slowly I became more comfortable with space, going slow and not knowing what was coming next. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The boundless experience of the abyss became a place of infinite potentiality. Here anything could be possible.

It’s a little surreal to look back on the past 2 years since I started offering this course and to see that after training several hundred health professionals in the benefits of integrating yoga, mindfulness and breath it has brought me here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s time for our Yoga to return back to its therapeutic origins and for our health care to become more integrative. I believe in this message so strongly! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What does it mean to feel LOVE? 
For me this is our natural experience when we can move beyond fear. 
Without fear blocking our natural state we feel greater connection to ourselves and can connect more easily with others...the feeling of this connection is Love. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a joy it was to explore this topic with 600+ people in London on Monday night and to lead them through a heart centred meditation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
