New Tremonti record came out yesterday and I semi learned my favorite song from it called “make it hurt”. love the main riff of this song, the verse riff is me completely guessing though so that definitely doesn’t sound great but for the most part I got it. Loving the album, can’t wait to read the novel when it comes along @markttremonti #tremonti #makeithurt #adyingmachine #guitarcover

Day 28 - “A song from an artist whose voice you love” - For this I chose “Black” by @sevendustofficial because I absolutely love @clowery15 and @ljspoon voices, I also love @jmc7d for his awesome playing, and is the reason I use my Dean on any 7D stuff I play

Day 26 & 27 - missed a couple days as I’ve been busy lately. Here’s “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters, cuz lyrics make me wanna love somebody. Also chose “Gold dust woman” by Fleetwood Mac because it reminds me of an old friend that I am no longer close with. Hope you guys enjoy

(Late post, took like a day to post) Day 25 - “A song by an artist you wish were still alive” - There are a lot of artists I could have done for this one, but I chose to do Jimi just to spice things up a little (no pun intended) and he’s a huge inspiration of mine too. So here’s “fire”

Day 24 - “A song by a band you wish were still together” - So I cheated on this one, I chose this because while Alice In Chains have not broken up and are still going strong today, I wish Layne and the original AIC lineup were still together but sadly that can’t happen. But anyway, sorry I cheated on this one, here’s “nutshell”

Day number 23 - “A song you think everyone should listen to” - Tool is one of my favorite bands ever. My older band played a lot of Tool songs and I still play a lot of Tool songs just because of the pure genius of the parts that Adam Jones writes. So here’s the first Tool song I ever learned “Sober”

Day number 22 - “A song that moves you forward” - For today I have chosen a song by @ilovemonstertruck called “Dont tell me how to live”. This song has helped me move past a lot of crappy stuff and reminds me to live my life and just have a little fun with it. There’s a line in the song that goes “I got music and people to love that sure does suit my needs” and I relate to that a lot and I love the song (also enjoy a cameo by my dad)

Day 20 & 21 - “A song that has many meanings to you” and “a song with a person’s name in the title” - Yet again I have missed a day so I had to play catch-up a little bit here’s “I am a highway” by Audioslave and “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac (it is hella rusty because I learned it in like an hour and it’s h a r d)

Day number 19 - “A song that makes you think about life” - Tool has been one of my very favorite bands for a while and if there is any music that makes me think in general, this is the bulk of it. The way that all of them write their parts are insane and I love it. So here’s “The pot” by Tool

Day 17 & 18 - Missed yesterday, chose “Brother” By Alice In Chains Because the harmonies between Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell are fantastic and for day 18 I chose “First it giveth” By @queensofthestoneage, it was on “Songs for the deaf” which was released in 2002 (forgive me for the audio quality plz)

Day 16 - “A song that is a classic favorite” - This is definitely one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs, and one of the hardest ones as well. I’d consider this a classic PJ song, so here’s “yellow ledbetter”

Day 14 and 15 - I wasn’t home so I missed 14, but this song works for both, I love the original as well as the cover by shinedown, so here’s “simple man”

Day number 13 - “A song that you like from the 70’S” - If I explained just how much I love Led Zeppelin and this solo we’d be here for a while, but to keep it relatively simple, this solo is probably one of my favorite if not my favorite solo of all time. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time, so here’s one of my favorite songs from them. “Stairway to heaven” #Stairwaytoheaven #solo #lespaul #musician #bestbandever

Day number 12 - “A song from your preteen years” - System Of A Down have always been a favorite of mine. I remember being a kid and I had the whole toxicity album on my little portable MP3 player and I listened to it over and over again. So here’s a song from that album that got me into them, “Chop Suey”

Day number 11 - “A song you never get tired of” - Eddie Van Halen, need I say more? He’s is one of the best guitar players to ever walk the earth in my humble opinion. This song every time it comes on just gets me fired up, especially the intro (Which is supperrr rusty because it is very difficult) also, I’m playing on my @deanguitars dimebag baby ML, which will be gone soon! Hope you guys enjoy, here’s “Hot for teacher”. #Vanhalen #hotforteacher #EVH #deanguitars @dimebagdarrell @deanguitars

Day number 10 - “A song that makes you sad” - This song reminds me a lot of the late great Chris Cornell. I grew up listening to his voice and his music has had such an impact on me. He truly was one of, if not the most, talented vocalist that ever lived. Every time I hear his voice I just get instant chill bumps. This song is called “hunger strike”. RIP Chris, we still miss you.
