| 🥂 what does having lots of Instagram followers mean to you? I will share the best answers on stories. | .
For me, having followers on Instagram comes with a certain amount of responsibility. Once you cross a line where the majority of your followers are strangers, you have a commitment to provide accurate information and use your account in an honest and ethical way. One thing I am absolutely particular about is ADVERTISING. My personal statement has always been clear: to never support or advertise a product or service that I don’t believe in and which I haven’t personally tried and found to be both safe, ethical and worthy of sharing. Otherwise, this platform would just become another advertising media and wouldn’t be bringing you anything you aren’t already bombarded with every day. .
This is why, when I chose to work with the Illa Experience Hotel, I had NO doubt that it was a group I could stand behind and endorse. Their hotel and management is unlike anything I have ever seen before. Their entire business, or more aptly put “experience”, is entirely based on supporting the local community and their national artisans, chefs and products. It’s beautiful to see a hotel take a risk, and rather than go for the conventional, embrace its roots and showcase them proudly to its guests. Every detail in this hotel is handmade and crafted with love and pride of their culture and I find that beyond magnificent. The floors of their hotel represent different eras of Ecuadorian history, all painstakingly assembled with details from the different provinces and diverse areas of their country. They also embrace their indigenous ties, choosing to use native words and elements to remind the guest of the history of the lands. All of this comes together with experiences that guests can opt to participate in, hosted by local artists and artisans.
I will stand behind the Illa Experience because they are examples of the type of businesses that we as “influencers” should support. If you go to Ecuador and don’t stay at the Illa, I assure you that you will miss one of the capital’s most priceless gems.
World’s Greatest Places 2018 by TIME. They say that only true things are felt by those who surround us. Illa Experience Hotel is indeed a real, truthful and project made with love and effort which we are proud to share with all of those who visit us!
