Second train trip was much quieter, for the most part. I will always be an awkward thing but you know, I’ll take my normal verbal oddity over train crashes and traveling backwards for two hours.
A different weekly update
I’m currently at my parents’ house. I take the Amtrak down here when I come.
I was in a train derailment/accident involving a tractor trailer in the way down yesterday. By the grace of God absolutely no one was injured.
However it made for a long, complicated confusing trip and I spent today wearing silly turkey hats and baking pies.
Normal production will return on Monday when I get back home.
Welcome to October. Welcome to fall.
Welcome to my lungs trying to shut down.
The top photo is when I had pneumonia this past December, when I tried to pretend that the cough tearing me apart was completely normal. I walked out of that visit with steroids, an inhaler and a terrified resident (no lower lung sounds isn’t a normal presentation). One of the old wives remedies I swear by is black tea with a good sized shot of Jack. I don’t know why it works but it does when my inhaler doesn’t.
I woke up this morning with ‘that’ ache.
Welcome to fall. It might be a Jack year.
If you’ve ever wondered why it’s Horrifknits instead of Rieshaw Knits, this is why.
I’ve been a mixed topic blogger for close to a decade. I took a year or so off and I’m just getting back into the process again.
The #mitts are available for purchase but the lighting is the point here 🐏🐏
I took this photo as late as I could this morning before I left and while I could adjust it more than I did, it was dark enough to skew the colors.
This pair is only on the page until Saturday. They’ve been listed for close to a year and it’s time to pull them if they don’t sell.
