Story time... this drink takes me all the way back to high school and the Sonic drive in. My girl (@alexandratobin_ ) and I used to leave class to get cherry limeades. We only had to dodge ‘Jack in the Box.’ Literally a box in the parking lot that this guy named Jack sat in...true rebels with a cause. Then we would blast the AC, some @tpain , and head to Sonic for the beloved Cherry Limeade. T-Pain was definitely a must on most car rides… what happened to him? T-Pain, if you are reading this, bring us some new music bro!
Anyways, this recipe is delicious and way better for you than Sonic’s cherry limeade. In fact, I consider this cherry limeade a health tonic due to all the beneficial ingredients it contains. If only we had a special machine to make those fluffy little ice balls…you guys know what type of ice I’m talking about, right? Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a stellar weekend. I woke up this morning and made this ballin peach salsa, so I figured I would share it with you all! Recipe details below⤵️ ✨4-5 cups peaches, diced
✨1 head cilantro, chopped
✨1 red onion, diced
✨1-2 jalapeños, minced
✨juice of 3 limes
✨2 T olive oil
✨salt and pepper to taste
I made this for a birthday potluck we are having at our house since our peach tree is going hardddd. It’s delicious though and you should make it too while peaches are in peak season!
Did you know that your nutrient needs change throughout your cycle? I’m currently in my luteal phase so I’m focusing on foods that help detoxify excess estrogen, along with high quality carbohydrates to prevent irritability that can come with a drop in estrogen! Roasted vegetables are amazing for this, especially sweet potatoes. They are sweet and help curb cravings and keep you feeling 💯! It’s also still super important to balance blood sugar, so healthy fats such as avocado and olive oil along with a good protein source are great choices! I love adding in red meat during this time to boost iron before menstruation! How do you support your cycle during the different phases?

When I first saw this quote on a post I was like yasss, praise. (@laurencurtain I believe this originated with you..slay girl) Anyways, if this doesn’t mean anything to you... let me break it down a little bit. By now, you may have heard me talking about the 4 different phases in a woman’s cycle, 2 of which are the luteal and follicular phases. The luteal phase is the second half of your cycle and occurs before your period. During this phase you begin turning inwards and your energy begins to decrease. This is also called the romantic phase, so you may need your partner to be a little more lovey dovey towards you... and you MAY be a little more emotional 😜 ! On the other side, the follicular phase, after menstruation and before ovulation... well this is the time to PARTAYYY. The follicular phase is full of vibrance and energy. You are ready to put things into action... and ready to get a little frisky. So hopefully that puts things into a little perspective. I’m nearing the end of my luteal phase, so my emotions are definitely a little heightened and I find myself wanting a little more rest. Honor your body and find people who will honor you as well!

I’m like a kid on Christmas right now. I couldn’t sleep last night and was up at 6 this morning excited for the day. Friday Friday Friday! I’m heading to Crested Butte this morning for the weekend and I am clearly stoked about it!
Anyways, summer nights are my all time favorite for backyard roommate dinners! We made bison burgers, Japanese sweet potatoes, bacon, and then made them into each of our hearts desire. Mine is the salad, duh.

Anyways, this GF toast recipe is for a special project and I don’t hate recipe testing/ tasting it at all. I loaded this with @nancysyogurt cream cheese and then topped one with avocado and the other with fresh peaches from the tree in our front yard. Then I drizzled with olive oil and cracked some salt and pepper on top. My typical favorite thing to layer on avo toast is @ancientorganics ghee, but switched it up a little this morning.
