Travelling in Tibet requires very little or no trekking yet one can explore stunning landscapes, historical monasteries and a unique Tibetan culture. The roof of the world is definitely a special place.
On our trip in the kingdom of Upper Mustang, we drove by these sheep and goats near the Korola border(4600m/15100ft) between Nepal and Tibet. Nomadic life still exists here and we hope to visit a nomad home in the grasslands.
Prayer flags around Ghar Gompa of the Nyingma Pa sect was founded in the 8th century and is the oldest monastery in Upper Mustang, Nepal. It lies at 3950/12960ft after a short drive from Tsarang village.
