I am so grateful to have so many badass women in my life. Women who say yes to 4am wake up calls and mountain sunrises. Women who kick my butt on long trails runs and smoke me on mountain bike rides. Women who think skinning UP a mountain before the lifts open is a great idea. Women who challenge my way of thinking and open my eyes to a new perspective. Women I learn from and women I teach. Women I go on crazy adventures with and women I sit down and have a beer and conversation with.
I am grateful for them all. I love you all.
Now who wants to go on an adventure?!
This amazing woman is currently making her way towards Italy where she will living and working for the next year! Words can’t begin to describe how proud I am of you @detailed_balance I’ve always known you were destined for great things, even if sometimes I had to remind you of it 😜
Cheers to the next chapter, which I have no doubt will be one of the best to come.
And when you need a dose of home, I’m always a phone call away. Always ❤️

Even though my parents used to take me when I was a kid, for years I have told people that I don’t like fishing. I have a hard time staying out of the water, I like to be moving and I get bored if the fish aren’t biting. But this summer that changed when I started fishing from my paddle board. I’m not quite sure why it makes such a big difference for me, but it does. I love actually being on the water and being able to cruise around to all the different areas. Plus fresh caught fish for dinner has been pretty nice this summer 😁
I’ve found that sometimes when I don’t enjoy a particular activity that all it takes is approaching it from a different angle to get an entirely new perspective. Try it sometime 😊
Did anyone else notice that every single picture I posted in August had water in it?
Now that I think about it, it’s not surprising. This has been the hottest summer of my life by far. Drought and extreme fires combined with working in the desert in 100* temps and then coming home to a house without AC sitting at 88* has made me feel like I’ve been melting away for months. I don’t think I’ve ever been so grateful for the cooler mountain temps to escape to on the weekends.
I ❤️ you San Juans, you saved me this summer. .
Some weekends I hike to pretty places. Others I half-ass clean my house, drink too much at the local brewery and binge watch Stranger Things. Im not complaining but I’m sure you don’t want a photo of me laying half dead on the couch nursing a hangover so here’s a better picture from our jaunt up San Miguel a few weekends ago.
For real though, Anyone else watch Stranger Things?! I’m addicted!!
I never remember to bring the beer but I remembered the seltzer!
Also @lacroixwater I will totally take a sponsorship because I may go broke with how much I drink this stuff 😂
San Miguel Peak is probably one of my favorite hikes I’ve done. We were the only ones above Hope Lake the whole day and had the entire peak to ourselves. Good company, good weather, good scramble, good day!
