I always say the only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.... Stephen Hawking wasn’t always confined to a wheelchair, with no voice of his own. Until he was 21, he lived the same life as so many of us do. Then, in his final year at Oxford, his coordination started to deteriorate, he got clumsy, his speech started to slur. At the age of 21, Stephen Hawking was diagnosed with ALS, a degenerative disease where the neurons that communicate between your muscles and your brain stop working. There is no cure. This disease only gets worse, taking everything away from you. He was given two years to live. That was over 55 years ago.

Despite this terrible, unforgiving disease, Stephen Hawking went on to have an extraordinary career in math and physics, all while ALS continued to take away his ability to move, and even speak. It got worse. He came down with pneumonia and doctors urged his wife to take him off life support. She refused, and they performed a tracheotomy, completely removing his ability to speak.

At this point, Stephen Hawking had so many reasons to give up, and most people in his position would have. They’d complain about how unfair life was. They’d accept the story in front of them. But Stephen didn’t. He was bound to a wheelchair, only able to speak through a voice synthesizer. And because of his courage, his persistence and his passion for the universe, Stephen continued to explore the cosmos.

What he accomplished is unbelievable, and he did it despite the many barriers standing in his way. No matter your perceived limitations, there’s probably someone out there with even more of the deck stacked against them, who are making an even bigger impact on the world. Stephen Hawking was a limitless mind in a limited body. Join me in remembering this extraordinary person. May he rest in peace, and, hopefully, every question he asked of the universe has now been answered.

Yes! We all know it.. our lives are so busy... with extracurricular activities, work homework, house work...and the list goes on and on and on🤪. We never have time to just sit down and enjoy a quiet moment with our families. Most mothers would do anything for their families. Do you have an ear ache?...I’m on it..., Do you have a sore throat? Front loaded squats (Aka. Front Squats) are better than Back Loaded Squats (Aka. Back Squat) .

I’ll tell you why.. your core need to do more work with Front squats. You need to stay in an upright position and this requires core strength. .🏋🏽

If you want to try out front loaded squats just make sure you maintain the right posture. 
Here are some tips. 💪🏼

1. Send your hips back slightly, and engage your core to prevent you from falling forward.
.
2. Keep your elbows elevated and imagine ropes are attached to your elbows and pulling you up when you’re pushing up
.
3. Push your knees out throughout the lift to activate your gluteus medius
.
4. Be light on your toes
Push off from your heels to further activate your lovely gluteus muscles. .
5. Wear shoes with a thinner sole or squat with shoes off
.
Things I need to work on 🙋🏻

1. I need to go Slow on the way down and fast on the way up. This will work the muscles harder
.
2. I should try to go a little lower at the bottom end of the squat

Body weight squats are the easiest and one of the most effective exercises that you could do. .
You don't need any fancy equipment and you can do squats anywhere... within reason. .
Here are few physio tips 
1. When in the lowest position, lean back on your heels to activate your gluts .
2. When you are in the lowest position, pretend you are sitting in the chair and make sure you can see your toes. If you can only see your knees when you are in the lowest position, you need to lead back further - stick your bum out. . 
3.Keep your spine straight throughout the movement .
4. Do as many squats as you can... Get motivated by counting out loud. .
5. Make this part if a circuit and get a full body work out without leaving your bedroom 😉
6. If your knees fall together, then push them outward- this will work out a different part of the glut.

So I finally went back to the gym floor and did my first set of deadlifts. 😅

Honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with deadlifts. It's so easy to hurt your back if you don't maintain a curve in your lumbar spine. If you start rounding out your back during your lift, you can do some serious damage. This is why I asked my brother to shoot some video. The best way for me to know if I'm doing the lift safely is observing a video. I totally see where I can improve. .
