FIXING MISTAKES - PART 1
Weve been having some issues with the gals in the last few days so we consulted our local weed doctor.
SYMPTOMS - Theres been a lot of yellowing lately, and one has even had some of its tips burn off. Come to find out we made a few mistakes.
MISTAKE 1 - 1000W LED light to start with was a mistake. We thought go big or go home, but this is way too intense for the seedlings. A combination of nutrient burn as well as nutrient deficiency symptoms could indicate light burn. The plants were receiving thousands of lumens more than they needed, causing the bleaching and light damage.
MISTAKE 2 - We accidentally used generic seedling soil mixed with miracle grow. Apparently you want to avoid miracle grow when dealing with cannabis along with any slow nutrient releasing soils. For this grow were just going to go with it until they're transplanted, but next time we'll know better.
MISTAKE 3 - We used clay pots. Although this isn't THAT big of a deal, the clay tends to have a few disadvantages because it tends to trap the cold and is also harder to transplant with these opposed to plastic.
