Christmas is a time to appreciate who we are as a people. To celebrate some of the most special religious holidays of the year. John James Rambo is a man just like you and me. A hard working American. And a man that just wants to enjoy the holidays... let’s all throw one back for our man SANBO! Link in bio
Goals need to be achieved in bite sized chunks. Jiu-Jitsu has that many variables that can happen that it takes a long time to improve. My own example is when I was wakeboarding before my back injury. A 9 minute tow would be £20. Expensive if you repeatedly fall in. In 9 minutes I would try every move I could because I knew I only had 9 minutes. The result would be me falling over repeatedly for 9 minutes and spending more time in the water waiting for the boat to stop, come back, circle, tell me why I fell in etc etc. After a while I realised I needed to focus on one specific thing per tow. 9 minutes surfing. 9 minutes riding switch. 9 minutes crossing the wake........ small, realistic measurable goals helped me achieve the ability to stay upright more than I fell in. It took time, once a week for 18 - 36 minutes a week means it takes a while to get anywhere. But I stuck with it and eventually got to a level I was personally happy with. Plan out your main goals and build them up with micro goals and steps to help you achieve that climb to the top of Everest!! #bjj#graciejiujitsu#ormskirk#jiujitsu#selfdefence#goals#goalsetting#fundamentals

Consistency is key to improving yourself at anything. If you wish to be rewarded for your efforts then you must be consistent. With martial arts this is shown in the form of gradings or even competition results. You can’t expect to be rewarded with something that you have not put the time in for. You cannot complain if you have not met the requirements. Be consistent and you will be rewarded. #bjj#graciejiujitsu#ormskirk#jiujitsu#selfdefence#consistency#quotes
