On Sunday we left Italy and drove to Salzburg then Germany. I love how Europe is so small that you can see a few countries in one day if you want. PS we did a tour of a salt mine in Austria which was really cool and a lot of fun 👌
Thank you @ortensiabluitalianadventures for planning the most perfect week in Italy for us (for only $200!), and for creating our itinerary in a really helpful app. Ciao Italy and the gorgeous @villacipriani
Thanks for a great time, Rome. The best thing we did was a @livitalytours golf tour booked by my Italy travel agent extraordinaire @ortensiabluitalianadventures who also booked Vatican and Colosseum treasure hunts for the kids, which really meant Noah and I got private tours of both of those places while the kids were entertained 😉 And now for the Prosecco region...
We have left London for Rome but want to highlight this favorite city of mine. We loved our meals at @jeangeorgesattheconnaught @theledbury @cecconislondon @the_berkeley @kettnerstownhouse and @corapearlcg and the kids really loved @ltmuseum @natural_history_museum and the butterfly garden, @blenheimpalace, @althorpestate, @household_cavalry, @imperialwarmuseums with the kids’ audio guide, @kensingtonroyal and Hyde Park with Princess Diana’s playground. So much more to see - check out my London city guide for families for the full tour #London#londonwithkids#londontourist
Yesterday we went to the Churchill War Rooms where we got to skip the long line because we had a stroller, then went a block away to Westminster Cathedral where some of Noah’s relatives are buried. After that we walked a block past Big Ben (which is being restored) and tried to take a cruise on the Thames but the lines were too long so we ended up at an old pub nearby for lunch. Then we walked past Trafalgar Square - shown here - and the National Gallery on to The Mall which leads to Buckingham Palace. This whole area is perfect for a day of sightseeing, and especially if on foot. #london#londontourist
I’ve talked about this exhibit before but it’s so fun to see Princess Diana’s outfits at Kensington Palace, and the kids love waking over to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground afterwards. Here are some sketches of her famous dresses on display @kensingtonroyal
Their hair might be disheveled but I can count on one hand the number of photos where all three are smiling at the camera. They must be happy to be in London...follow along on Stories for more photos of our trip...
