From the end of my 8 month off season to 6 weeks into my prep.
Whilst in the depths of prep it can be so easy to loose sight of the changes that can be made on a weekly basis.
During a happy and healthy off season I gained around 12kgs..my bulk was predominantly clean, but I had blow outs when I totally relaxed the diet and enjoyed all the food and drink... especially on my holidays 🥂🍾🍹🍦🍨 I'm now into week 7 of my prep, with 3 weeks to go till comp day. I'm already 10kgs down, leaning up nicely, although patiently waiting for the ole legs to catch up with the upper body.
I've gone from curvy to lean in a short space of time but there's been no short cuts here..totally clean diet of 1,650 ckals a day, no alcohol, an increase of cardio..now up to 45 mins daily, heavy training sessions and plenty of sleep and water.

Hello 😁💪 So after a good 4 months detox from all social media I've made a decision to return 😆🙈Mainly to catch up with everyone I follow and who follows me, and also to share what I've been up to over the summer months 😎👙
My biggest news is that I'm prepping for RIBBF at the moment, and with just over 3 weeks to go, the time is flying. Due to a couple of holidays this summer, I only started my prep 7 weeks ago. A 10 week prep after an 8 month off season isnt a huge amount of time, but I'm happy enough at where I'm sitting at the moment.
Decision was made with my coach today that I ll compete in the Bikini Master's and not in Body fitness as originally planned. So I'm now content with our decision and really looking forward to the next 3 weeks to see how my physique changes.
This prep so far has been my easiest. I'm not putting myself under any pressure and I've no high expectations...I'm truly just enjoying the process 💪😉😁.

A broken toe...excuse the state of my foot but this is what happens when you drop a 20kg plate on your foot at the gym, and continue to train in the hope no one noticed...!!!! Not a great way to start my prep season as leg sessions and cardio will be limited now..!!
Lesson to myself and everyone else..this is what can happen if your careless unracking plates off machines..lift with caution.
Oh well at least the suns out..a bit..!!

Spent the weekend at Bodypower at the NEC in Birmingham with @arlette_fitover40 and supporting @betterbodybyshan in The PCA.
Weekend was great but I'm knackered from all the walking around. Was good to see some familiar faces and be surrounded by like minded people.

Transformation Tuesday...The pic on the left came up on my timeline on Facebook over the weekend..it was taken 5 years in my running days, at the beginning of a 10k race. The pic on the right is me today, stronger both physically and mentally.
Crazy thing is I actually thought I was fat in the pic on the left..I was continuing to battle with Bulimia Nervosa, an eating disorder, and did lots of cardio including running to keep myself under a certain weight..!! 5 years on.. I'm probably heavier.. I don't know and really don't care. My physiques bigger..ive bigger stronger arms, legs and a booty now since I started lifting 2 and half year s ago. But its not only my physique thats changed, its my mental health too. My unhealthy relationship with food is a thing of the past, and I train to feel good..Its my stress relief, therapy and my passion.
Bodybuilding has changed my life for the better. I ll never look back..I'm always looking ahead.

Prep is only around the corner for me.
Previously I've prepped from 10 to 16 weeks out from a comp but this time I'm starting prep early to take into consideration my 50th Birthday celebrations in 6 weeks time, so I'm allowing myself around 20 weeks..!! It sounds like an eternity but I know I want to really enjoy my birthday and not be restricting myself completely.
Plan at the moment is to compete at the end of September, early October in RIUP and RIBBF Nationals.
