Norway!

A country of northern Europe that occupies the western half of the Scandinavian peninsula. Nearly half of the inhabitants of the country live in the far south, in the region around Oslo, the capital.

About two-thirds of Norway is mountainous, and off its much-indented coastline lie, carved by deep glacial fjords, some 50,000 islands. Norway is one of Europe's most sparsely populated countries. With a population of only 5 million people and a land area of 385,802km2, the population density is only 16 inhabitants per km.
Norway's primary source of income is the North Sea oil and gas industry, which makes up more than 20 per cent of its GDP. It also has several other natural resources such as hydro-electric power, wood, fish and minerals, some manufacturing, and a healthy technology sector. As one of the richest countries in the world and with a strong currency.
Norwegians are generally open-minded and tolerant and there are few, if any, dos and don'ts that foreign visitors need to keep in mind.

Norway has over $US850 billion in cash reserves as a result of royalties received from oil exploration and it has one of the largest sovereign funds in the world. This money helps fund free education and healthcare for Norwegians.

The Legend of Elenino Lake

Elena was a young and pretty 17 years old girl. Life was not easy because she had the misfortune to be born in an enslaved land.

Selim Pasha, who was captured by her beauty, came to her hometown Samokov, and the villagers decided to sell her, in order to safe their lifes.

Selim Pasha took Elena into his tent and took advantage of her innocence. The next day Elena managed to escape and hid in the mountain. It did not take long and she met the rebel group of Malyo voivoda.

She fell in love with one of the rebels, but she hid her feelings. She couldn't stop to think how to avenge her honor to Selim pasha.

This is how the days passed and how Elena was separated between love and vengeance.
Years passed and, eventually, the life met Elena and Selim Pasha. She didn't not missed her chance and shoot through his chests. Fatal.
Unfortunately, she was also wounded, and soon she died. Her comrades did not let her body to be abused by the enemy and carried it up into the mountain, on the shore of a beautiful lake.

The girl's last words were a love explanation to the love of her life, as well as a request for forgiveness that she did not succumb to her feelings, but to the desire of must.

Her loved one buried her near the shore of the lake, and in her honor the lake was called Elenino Lake.

Now the lake is hidden in a dense fog, as the girl and her comrades hid from the Turks, and sometimes it is blue and attractive, like a corner of paradise.

Alaska!

The largest state (in area) of the United States, Alaska was admitted to the union as the 49th state in 1959, and lies at the extreme northwest of the North American continent. Acquired by the United States in 1867, the territory was dubbed “Seward’s Folly” after U.S. Secretary of State William Seward, who arranged to purchase the land from Russia. Critics of the purchase believed that the land had nothing to offer, but the discovery of gold in the 1890s created a stampede of prospectors and settlers. Alaska is bounded by the Beaufort Sea and the Arctic Ocean to the north; Canada’s Yukon Territory and British Columbia province to the east; the Gulf of Alaska and the Pacific Ocean to the south; the Bering Strait and the Bering Sea to the west; and the Chukchi Sea to the northwest. The capital is Juneau.

The Seal!

The clowns of the marine mammal world, seals are a comical bunch of incredibly interesting creatures. For some, like yours truly, they may seem like a ‘spirit animal’. They spend most of their days lazing about, sunbathing in some of our planet’s most incredible places – like Antarctica, the Galapagos Islands and Alaska, of course! :)– they are majority blubber (which helps against the cold, you know) and feed off sumptuous seafood.

In the wild, seals can live for up to 30 years with females boasting a higher life.

Seals can sleep underwater and usually only come on land to escape predators like whales and sharks, as well as to mate, give birth, feed and moult.

Some seals can dive up to 900m in depth and some can hold their breath underwater for up to 2 hours!

Alaska!

Kenai Fjords National Park is an American national park established in 1980 by the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act.
The park covers an area of 669,984 acres (1,046.85 sq mi; 2,711.33 km2) on the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska, near the town of Seward. The park contains the Harding Icefield, one of the largest ice fields in the United States. It is named for the numerous fjords carved by glaciers moving down the mountains from the ice field. The field is the source of at least 38 glaciers, the largest of which is Bear Glacier. The fjords are glacial valleys that have been submerged below sea level by a combination of rising sea levels and land subsidence.
