You guys, stop it!! Can't I just keep them all 😣😪 -
They do the cutest little things all on their own, and I just love em! -
Two boys and two girls
Three little babies looking for new homes. The fourth one (idk which yet) we're keeping!
Hand dyed feathers getting combed out today. I think this is the 10th one I've brushed out in the last two hours, there's fuzz covering every inch of my body. I think I should be wearing a mask so I don't breathe in all these fibers. Anyone else wear a mask while combing fringe?!
Once again gotta shout out @naecogreen
For the feather trend! -
I know I haven't posted a ton of macrame on here lately but life has been BUSY! This is my younger sister Sam and I. We just moved her across the country to California and I miss her already. I wish we could live in the same time zone for a while, so I could get more face squishing smooches from her.
I hope your second week of work is amazing sister. I'm thinking of you always!
I made this hanging planter specifically for these Japanese porcelain tea cups about a month ago, and there it sat, empty. All the while Ive been struggling to find a place for this air plant. All the others I have sit sweetly in little tea light holders, but this one doesn't like to sit up straight, and my cats may have knocked her over a time or two to chase her around the wood floors. Tonight I looked at this sad little plant, which had fallen sideways out of it's home and I had the "Aha" moment that should have happened weeks ago. Put the plant in the planter! 😂 I sometimes forget that I can use the things I make.
Kitten update!! Their eyes are open and I can almost identify the sex! 6-7 more weeks and three of them will be ready for new homes! This little one is Moon, and it's Islas favorite 😍
I know these little cacti sprouts don't look like much but they sure have taken a LONG time to get this size! These little plants take a ton of patience, we planted the seeds way back in April, we took the kids to the hardware store for them to both pick out flower seeds to plant, and Judah of course, wanted cactus seeds. Roughly 5 months later and they stand only about 2cm high. They're starting to get some character now, slight color differences, and more and more spines, and they look a little like teeny frizzey haired people, which just makes me smile. Here's to hoping by next spring they've grown strong enough to leave their nests and flourish!
Here is Islas (my 5yo daughters) finished work! Didn't she do AMAZING! All I did was hang the feathers on the branch and smooth them out after. I thought she wanted to make it for herself, but when it was done she said "I think I want to give this to my teacher tomorrow, I bet first weeks are hard for grown-ups too!" I fricken melted! What a sweetheart! I hope her teacher likes pink!
Macrame is for EVERYONE! Ive been working on a custom feathered piece and my 5 year old daughter Isla has been begging to make one too.
I tried a few months ago to teach her a square knot and it just didn't click. But today she was determined. She knotted this in it's entirety, cut it, and brushed it out in about 20 minutes. I hung it on the branch and she's already working on another grey for the right side, and planning pink for the middle. 😍 I love creating with my kiddos!
Adventures in the redwood forest. The trees will never drop you when you trust fall, and toe touch photos are harder than you'd think to capture.
I've never felt so small and young than I did when walking among these Giants.
We're awful pet parents, so our sweet kitty Clementine gave birth to four beautiful babies! We will be keeping one but if you'd like a little kitty in about 8 weeks there's still three to send off to good homes 🥰
First ever In-N-Out experience ever, right before I hop on a red eye home. It's been a fun and tiring trip. I'm ready to smooch my kiddos, but I'm going to miss my sister Sam! Good luck in the next few months darling! @shakerallabout
Made it safely from Michigan to California! Now we're spending some time moseying around the redwood forest. I cannot believe the beauty surrounding me at this moment.i feel so thankful to have had the opportunity to make this journey with my sister. Yesterday was my birthday and we spent it driving along the Columbia River across Oregon, down the Pacific Coast, and into these beautiful Redwoods!
@tracylynner @n_i_c_k_m_i_l_l_e_r I'm not sure why your wedding photos are showing up on my Time Hop today but im not mad about it 🥰 your first dance is still one of the most memorable wedding moments to me. I miss you guys!!!
