Riding out in style.
I'm tell'n ya my grandmother was an original gangsta. 😎
Yesterday, I was choosen to be the speaker at my grandmothers funeral. I've never felt so much emotions run through me as I did standing there at that podium. I whispered to Lola to help me through this, and like always she was there for me. Somehow I regained composure.
For those who couldn't make it, here was my message:
Hello family and friends,
I would like to start by giving thanks; thank you all for coming here today, thank you for the medical staff and services of Agoo medical clinic, and most of all thank you to my family members who sacrificed so much to care for my most favorite human.
My name is Lucky Lou and if you were to ask my grandmother who I was, she would tell you that I was her youngest daughter. Like myself, she helped care for many of her grandchildren and for that we all will forever be grateful. She was an incredible role model teaching us to put faith in family and pushed us to be better versions of ourselves. She taught us the power of kindness, the importance of responsibility, and above all that anything in life is possible.
She left us with so much love, joy, laughter, and amazingly memories, memories we will cherish forever.
She was a strong woman who fought a good fight; even through the hardest times of she carried herself with poise and stayed strong for everyone else around her.
Although I'm sad that she is no longer with us, I'm comforted to know she is no longer in pain and that she is reunited with loved ones that made it to heaven before her.
From everyone. Lola, we love you. We miss you and we are extremely blessed to have had you in our lives. .

Thank you for loving me unconditionally. You will forever be my most favorite human being and till we meet again, I'll miss you everyday.
