Sandra Mastio, born and raised in Malmö is a true falafel-lover. After winning in TV4:s Swedish Masterchef 2015 she has amongst other things written two cookbooks, done hundreds of episodes in food-tv, lectured and had many projects all with food as a red thread. Sandra now together with her husband runs the successful restaurant MASTIO with craftmanship-pizza on the menu and will be seen this autumn in SVT:s new food-show.
THE JURY: Titti Qvarnström is a Michelin Star chef in Malmö and creative manager at @folkmatmoten. She recently wrote the book Malmö Cooking. She’s also a part of @falafelaward and many more projects. If it’s in Malmö and related to food, Titti probably is involved one way or another.
THE JURY: Matan Levy has been working in kitchens around the world since he was 15, from the US to the Middle East, through South America, finally to Malmö, where he has spent the last seven years working in some of the city’s top restaurants. He is currently head chef at Idala Gård, outside of Trelleborg, where he focuses on simple food with exciting flavors and local, seasonal produce.
THE JURY: Zeina Mourtada is raised in Malmö and runs one of Swedens biggest food blogs @zeinaskitchen that won in @matbloggspriset 2015. She’s also writing a cookbook, is a teacher at @fryshuset and appears from time to time at @tv4 Nyhetsmorgon making food.
THE JURY: Pierre Orsander is a Malmö food blogger and entrepreneur behind @falafelbook, @falafelfestivalen, @falafelaward and @burgarnatten. He also writes about food on his account @skitgott and @alltomburgare. Last year he tried to set a record at eating at the most restaurants in the shortest amount of time, which he did at record time of 6hrs 23min.
