This video shows you how to properly place your hands on the ground in postures and shows what the improper posture is. Instructions 🙌🙌🙌🙌 👇 1. Hands shoulder distance apart or a little wider for tight shoulders. 👇 2. Index fingers Face Forward or slightly outward for a sensitive shoulders. 👇 3. Press down evenly into the ridge of the Palm. 👇 4. Press evenly into all of your fingers and fingertips. 👇 5. Monitor throughout the class where your weight is being distributed. If you find that you are placing a lot of weight on your outer wrist, adjust your hands by using the steps written above. 🙏😊😊 And remember it's a practice and practice makes perfect. Want to improve your text neck and posture? Jutting neck lengthens the back muscles and shortens the chest muscles, which negatively impacts quality of breathing, mood and energy. Whether it's from technology or years of poor posture, there is a way to improve jutting neck. 🙌 Stand against a wall in TADASANA or mountain pose. Press your heels, hips, shoulders and head into it once a day (as in the video) to feel what proper alignment is. Am I hard on myself? Hell yes. Do I think it's ok to be? The pelvis, ribs and head are structural units which work together for correct spinal alignment. A seat with a posterior tilt, which causes the back to round and the head to jut forward not only makes it difficult to meditate, but also reinforces weakness in areas such as abdominals, hamstrings and glutes. A block or two under hips and perhaps also even under the knees helps to align the hips, ribs and head, helping to make meditation easier and helping to strengthen abs, hammies and the booty muscles. When I moved from NJ to FL as a teenager, I fell in love with the ocean, the sky, the sand, the sun. I had always been a beach lover, but the clear blue ocean in FL was extraordinarily healing for me and on multiple levels. It's no wonder I'm drawn over and over again to beautiful destinations with awe inspiring ocean views and healing waters. I believe warm climate, sun and beach equals healing, happiness and home.
