"The spiritual journey is the unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love" -Marianne Williamson
This pic by @omshanti_sammy was taken during my Bali Yoga Retreat last year. This is me asking for blessings.
Jay and I took our group to a spiritual compound and temple where we offered up gratitude as part of a cleansing ceremony.
In these waters which we bathed in, were spouts of water that poured out from the wall. Each spout represented a different focus for prayer such as forgiveness, career blessings, love, patience, good health and so much more. As we waded through the cool water, we allowed the fountains to flow over us as we silently sent our words, hopes and dreams out into the universe.
I can speak for the group. It was a profound experience.
It's these kinds of moments, experiences and activities that I value as a yoga retreat leader, because they offer life changing and transformative moments for my students.

I used to walk into a room full of people and wonder if they liked me.
Now I walk into a room and wonder if I like them.
That's the power of a strong Root, 2nd and 3rd chakra. The first chakra is secure in itself. The 2nd accepts the self. The 3rd stands in its power. The 4th gives me power to love others, even if I chose not to like them.
What is a spiritual vacation?
A spiritual vacation is a inward journey to a destination away from home one can embark upon for the purpose of coming home to the true self.
The atmosphere of a spiritual journey is spacious, welcoming, inviting. The energy is loving and healing. The practice is deep. The location is awe inspiring.
Imagine waking up to sounds of tropical birds and ocean waves and leisurely heading to the yoga shala for a.m. practice which is both invigorating, grounding and detoxifying.
As you rise from #savasana , you smell the aroma of fresh coffee, and healthy breakfast floating to you on a salty breeze. You sit down with a group of like minded individuals and savor the freshly prepared meal. There is no rush. No where to go, no work to be done.
After breakfast you might decide to nap by the pool or go for a morning dip in the warm ocean.
Your day has just begun and yet there is so much more beauty to ease into, such as afternoon surf lessons and turtle or bird watching or shopping local handmade items.... Costa Rica.
Beautiful. Raw. Awe inspiring.

This is #thunderbolt or #laghuvajrasana for #kapotasanarules#yogachallenge by @cyogalife
As you can see, my elbows dont quite touch the ground. I could have warmed up a little more beforehand. I had been sitting doing work in my computer for about 2 hrs b4 I got up for a stretch. I wanted to catch the good light. It felt amaze to stretch my quads in #suptavajrasana , as I've been doing a lot of quad strengthening this week. .
