Looking at these photos from when I was prepping for a bikini competition kind of disgust me. (Not disgusted with appearance! I look fantastic 💕). But I poured in WAYY more than I believe I’ll ever receive from the sport. It was cool while it lasted, but competing is a thing of the past for me now. Health always comes first to me & I should practice what I preach.
👥 My clients can’t receive full service from me when I have “prep brain” and make a lot of mistakes, or can’t focus because I’m thinking about food, or can’t exercise with them because I don’t have the energy and time, or can’t maintain a good mood because My body is crying out for carbs damnit.
I was 6 days into my “cut” and a thought crossed my mind, “I wonder when I’m gonna die”. LOL 😂 Ridiculous. That’s physically how I felt.
And my workouts at the gym were MISERABLE. .
My relationship with food and (especially exercise) are great! I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ going to the gym, exercising and moving my body! But feeling fatigued, tired and broken down in the gym would eventually lead me to hating & dreading it . I couldn’t imagine a lifetime of prepping for shows, “on” and “off seasons”. My “why” was not strong enough .
😁 You should have seen the way my face lit up and my mood changed when I ATE. And the strength I immediately unlocked in my workouts. It had been several weeks since I felt that good. I had not smiled and laughed that much in months. I was no longer my self.
I’m happy with my health, balance, Smiles and foooood 🍕

• LEFT: Pic was taken in December 2014 when I was a Freshman in college studying Music full-time and working as a waitress at Chili’s 🌶 Riding my Bike in all types of weather to get to and from work and the grocery store (rain, snow, ice, scorching heat- whatever it takes). I’ve never been about making excuses. I always find a way to get the job done 🙏 College was definitely in the way of my fitness LOL (maybe that’s why I don’t go anymore LOL 😂) I decided to move back to the DFW and study Kinesiology and continue with my Personal Training & Nutrition services.
• RIGHT: August 2018. After investing thousands of hours and dollars into my education (in school and outside of college) and applying it to my life. Listening 👂 intensively to my mentors and molding my mind. Doing what I love
