Its always a fun time to reflect on the year behind...I feel blessed at the moment with the opportunities I have been given, but this past year on reflection I have definitely overworked myself... and recently I have been working behind the scenes to both correct that, as well as also develop and envision future steps I’d like to take to broaden my influence on those I work and connect with. 🔲
Sometimes I can work at a pace I can’t even keep up with myself, and I’ve learnt over the years, especially this past year that rest is as important as the graft and work we put in. You need both Yin and Yang! 🔲
I’ve needed both silence and withdrawal recently to be able to both reflect and focus my energy where it’s needed to be.
It’s kind of been my Deload I guess of late, sometimes you have to regress to progress 💪🏻 🏋🏻♀️
Here’s some food for thought... Could sprinting be the most basic simple exercise at not just developing glutes... but also the overall development of strong athletic legs?
Every month through instagram, Facebook or some random fitness related social media post we see the next best exercise to building the perfect booty... we see workout after workout using bands, doing fancy kick backs or performing exercises in fancy weird ways to target which is by nature the largest muscle in our body... the glutes.
However when you look at the nature of our body, we are made to run, and sprinting in my opinion is the most basic exercises you could do in the development of such muscles, without the use of any equipment at all.
I mean think about it, have you ever seen a sprinter with small glutes?
Sprinting used to be the staple of my early training years when I was running the 100m, and as a child competing in such an event I developed a lot of muscle within that area. However with summer approaching it will be back into my regular routine as often as possible.
Why not mix up your training this summer and challenge yourself outside of the gym environment?
