I have a strong belief that the healthiest most powerful expression of ourselves lies within 3 main areas. .
1. The body... everything from the food we consume to the tension held within our muscles... The training we do, and the sleep and recovery we have in order to rebuild and strengthen ourselves.
Our bodies dictate how we move through the world and how operate on a physical level. .
2. Mind... This involves everything from our thoughts, decisions, what we learn and study, and how we chose to respond to our environment.
Our mind develops habits and patterns that govern most of the decisions we make on a daily basis. .
3. Our spirit... This relates to how we ‘feel’ through the world, the influence we have on those around us, and the values we share with others. Our spirit dictates how connected we feel, and the instincts we have. .
It is also important to note that these 3 areas all work synergistically together... What affects our mind also affects our body...! and vice versa.
As well as our spirit, and the connection we feel with our environment affects the way our body and mind feels. .
With that said, the healthiest version of you resides in ultimate balance! We strengthen our body through putting ourselves through resistance... whether we run, walk, climb or lift weight... but how well do you balance this with rest and recovery? are you tipping the balance? .
We also carry out daily activities that add to or stress levels, we burn ourselves out with constant stimulation to the mind... but how often do you meditate or allow yourself to have a break from the things you think about. .
And we move through daily life without an appreciation of what surrounds us, we remove ourselves from nature and remove ourselves from the basic elements, how often do you root yourself back to the ground and feel the earth beneath you?
Balance and feeling i believe is the root of ultimate health and ultimate joy! 💪🏻
Single leg stability work!
I’m making sure I find time to focus on maintaining control and balance alongside a heavy lifting programme at the moment.
Balance is always a skill that will benefit any type of weight training you do... if you think about the stabilisers required to assist you in major movements like deadlifts and squats, then you’ll also note how single leg balance work can be a great supplementary exercise to help you progress on your form and strength.
This type of work also really fires up your nervous system making it a great warm up before any kind of training session. 💪🏻
3 cable core twist variations for you to try!
I’ve always loved using cables for working the core, these types of movements place a greater emphasis on your obliques due to the twisting nature.
But the greatest benefit comes in the fact these types of movements become full body exercises!
When performed correctly you will be using everything from your shoulders, back, glutes, quads and hamstrings to aid in the movements. Making them a lot more functional than standard abdominal exercises.

Most people miss this precious time because they spend all day focusing on what has already been, or on what they are anticipating to happen... and the truth is what happens in the future doesn’t always turn out the way we expect, rarely if even!
The most precious moment you have is right now!
Remember that you are always looked after... and that peace, love and happiness can be found where you are right now.
With meditation you can gain great awareness of the beauty that surrounds you right now. Even 5-10 minutes per day can be invaluable to the energy you can create!
