It seems like yesterday that I got to hold you for the first time and now you’re turning 5. Happiest of birthdays to the best niece. Your uncle loves you with all of his heart, Lucy bug 🐞❤️ I’m glad I got a FaceTime in to see you blow out your candle on my work break. 😂
A great season unfortunately came to an end last night. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be welcomed into my new family, my Laker family. It’s been an honor to play with a class A group of men. One final thank you to Kara for allowing me continue to live out my baseball dream and for her miles of driving to watch me throw/sometimes hit a baseball. I woke up this morning and immediately thought... “is it Laker season yet?”
A lot of posts this week I know, but today was something I’ll never take for granted. After almost 4 years, I got to see my mom. Something so simple that I hope nobody will ever take for granted is a hug and a kiss from their mom, dad, guardian, whomever. Even though it was at my grandmas private burial, my step-grandma Helen...such a wonderful and wise woman had everything to do with this meeting. I know it’s only the beginning to a fresh start, but it’s a start. Rest In Peace, Helen. We love you.
So this week so far in review...the Faribault Lakers qualified for the town-baseball state tournament tonight. The love of my life surprised me by showing up to the game. I landed my dream job and received the best congrats gift/card from her. To top it off, I got to celebrate with the best...my Laker family. Let’s keep this thing rolling boys, shall we? #golakers#statetourneybound ⚾️
