Conquering North Dome at Yosemite National Park was definitely one of the best memories of summer 2017. The hike to the top was over 18 miles round trip and took the entire day. Luckily I ran into some selcouth animals and views that made everything worth it. I'd describe the view on the top of North Dome a tease to the actual prize which is Half Dome but the view is breathtaking, feels like you're a few feet from exiting the biosphere and entering space 🚀. I'm amazed by our national monuments and how critical it is we save them for future generations. (Fuck the GOP, Trump, Zinke and Pruitt). At the same time I'm amazed how much of an improvement I made from last year trying to tackle North Dome under the supervision of Grand Master @ryanflextime . I can't wait for next year when the Action Heros take on the ultimate challenge: Half Dome! Stay tuned lol 😂.
Hope everyone is having a nice 👍Easter Weekend, I know I am. First time riding the gondola here at the Heavenly Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe. Weather is pretty nice but it is kinda windy 💨but not enough to stop me. Hope everyone is spending today with friends and family. ☃️🏂⛷🎿🚠
Excited about today, got a invitation from Tesla to test drive their new 2017 models at Sonoma Raceway. Didn't think it was real but I guess I got a secret admirer at Tesla haha. I've been told fastest lap times for today will enter me in the contest to actually win a Model S for keeps. Wish me luck guys! Drop a comment below to help me decide which color to get.
Cold ass weather makes me want some kind of hot soup, first time here and they treated me like I've been coming here for months. If you ever want to hit up the cleanest Vietnamese restaurant in South Sacramento , make sure to give them a try.
Broth of the pho was kinda salty but overall it was pretty good and piping hot, got my steak on the side and for some reason they hooked me up with extra steak. Noodles tasted fresh and weren't soggy. They offer you peanuts while you wait for your entree, never seen that before. Pricing was about the same as any pho restaurant. The waiter was pleasant and prompt.
Place is way to nice to just to have a bowl of pho at though, if you have a person you want to blow away with a great first impression make sure to take them here on a rainy day to lift their spirits. The menu had a lot of other specialty dishes but I'm not familiar and will need some pointers and tips from other fellow foodies.
My first #fbf in awhile, just in case you guys missed it on my Facebook. I did happen to get a chance to review an awesome sushi restaurant in SF in couple years back when it was still open. At the time it was the only sushi restaurant that was ran exclusively by an all women staff (very untraditional and very rare for a Japanese restaurant). The food at Minako was on another level, I was fortunate enough to have experienced in my life time. The fatty sashimi they had in season at the time was out of this world and easily on par with other restaurants of this caliber (like Ozumo). Another unique item Minako offered was vegan sushi which had no fish in it all but tasted amazing for being meatless. The batter on the tempura shrimp is something I haven't seen any other place replicate or come close to, it was so light, airy and delicious. Service was amazing too, Price was lavish but I had a job that would support my high end habits, work hard eat hard was the motto back then. Not everything great lasts forever, so enjoy it while you can.
