This band reminds me constantly that there's songwriters, then there's straight genius. Gifted VIP seats/access, which was massive. No support act, just 2 hours of tearing out. All a bit hazy as I caught 1 hour sleep post-show to fly out here to Singapore, but whatever. Pearl Jam are musical dons
This is the other side of Finn I never share. After 2 nights in a kennel a couple years back (I will never again), he emerged a completely broken dog, afraid of everything. Long gone is any sense of curiosity, exploration or dogged determination. All it takes is a noise, a select few spoken words - or even the sight of something that triggers tremors, nervousness and stress. He eventually calms down - but having tried EVERYTHING (including a fucking "dog psychiatrist"), nothing seems to work. So now, when I'm present, I'll just lie down with him. Sucks, but as long as he lives his best life
'he will no doubt get away with everything'. Fresh trim for little man, and we'll pretend I didn't lay there for 23 minutes for the perfect shot. Break time from audio to handle rights society paperwork, before departing to Singapore next Tuesday
Exclusive premiere TONIGHT on @bbcintroducing. Finally made it public knowledge that I’ve written & produced for other artists/bands, so decided to park it under another name/alter ego: @ljt_music. This is the first (of quite a few) tracks forthcoming under that alias. I co-wrote, produced and engineered this with the beautifully talented @ihiguero, and couldn’t be more proud. As mentioned, full premiere tonight on BBC Introducing. It took less than 2 days for them to receive it and add it to the show – not bad for my first public track under that alias, let alone a debut solo release for Isabel. Muadting
In a somewhat subdued weekend for the city, the main event delivered the type of atmosphere that is magically rare, a.k.a fucking loud. I enjoyed it from the Zuffa section. Now back home, day off, back into studio
NB: Olly Murs is a short-arse
This video is reposted from @bekor_'s account, which is a haven for her talent.
I wrote a piece of music, Becca sung over it. Anavae took it, and made this beauty. Then, as if she wasn't gifted enough, Becca only went and done this. Some people are just born with it. Check out the full version on Anavae's Vevo channel
Pros: can carry him with one hand, cute to look at, attracts female attention, house trained.
Cons: forever small enough to hop on the desk and give you the 'give me attention' eyes.
Next release on hold for 30 minutes whilst I entertain this chap
Reposting this due to a surge in activity/listens this week. My remix of Deadmau5' 'Let Go'. The thinking behind the remix was to take the somewhat emotive feeling and develop it via live performance. Merging electronic with acoustic, playing the progression live as you feel the emotion adds another level. I think it worked. Ignore the lighting, you can Google the track
Generic post of 'can't use these as you're staring at the floor again' shots because I've not kept my 'engaging content, twice a day' deal, and I can't share any current musical projects due to privacy. Smashing, Liam
Christmas 2017 I carried out my yearly tradition of boxing up as many unused clothing/items as I physically can and donate them to a charity. This year the British Heart Foundation challenged me to do 10 after a throwaway remark, so I accepted. Received this today in the post – you don’t need to know what was raised, but I’m beyond proud knowing it’s contribution. Heart issues run and had a huge impact in my family, so doing what I can
I’m often asked ‘is there anything you can’t do?’ – and the answer is yes: I can never cook black pudding without burning the fecker. Re-tracking guitars on this old slow number, should eventually end up on the next release after vocals. Turned to the trusty Turner semi-acoustic for the goods
I originally wrote this on my bed in 2015, before sending to Rebecca for her to vocal ideas for what I wanted as my release. Turns out they wanted it for Anavae, and, well, the rest is history. It's when I hear Rebecca in this element that everything just falls into place. I love everything about this, and am writing something for them currently again
