Two breweries, two local Pennsylvania malts, one big juicy beer. It's a Born and Raised Pennsylvania IPA, and we couldn't be prouder to brew this for Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week with our GOOD FRIENDS @troegsbeer . Made with 1200lbs of malt from @doubleeaglemalting , 800lbs from @deercreekmalt , 120lbs of comet hops, 44 lbs of simcoe, 44 lbs of azacca, and 4 cases of beer to drink while brewing. This is a big, juicy, tropical IPA at 6.5%. We're releasing 4 packs on Thursday at both locations (11am at the East End - Brewery Taproom in the Strip) but you'll want to come to the Brewpub at 4pm for a tasting of some special Tröegs beers with their local rep, along with the new Born and Raised Pennsylvania IPA. We can't wait.
All cans go on sale THURSDAY, APRIL 12 at 11am at the Taproom in the Strip and 4pm at the Brewpub in Larimer. 1 case limit for each beer if there's no line. If there's no line, no limit. All beers available on draft for tasting; No growler or crowler fills until cans are sold out. Price: $18 per 4 pack of 16 oz cans

Not too long ago, we got a taste of some two-row barley grown about a half hour away in Mount Joy. It wasn’t just local, it was amazing, and we hatched a plan to brew a PA-centric take on our cult classic Troegenator. The combination of @doubleeaglemalting’s barley and caramel rye gives Scratch #314 a deep, port-like maltiness and chewy body, and Cascade hops from @sunnybraehops in Carlisle add subtle pine notes.
We taste: rye bread, raisin, caramel
Draft and growler fills now available only in the Tasting Room.
Props to @blueprintbrewing for making delicious beer, and for giving their employees the night off to enjoy the big Eagles game! Volume 0 (Zero Fu**s was nixed) is brewed with locally grown barley and rye malts and infused with juniper to create a unique gin-inspired beer. Stop by before 6 to grab a growler. GO BIRDS!!! #groundtoglass#craftmalt#craftbeer#pamalt#pabeer
