There is nothing like horses to set your mood straight. Just came back from riding and spending time at the barn, and I now feel reborn - really needed it. These animals teach you so much. Here is an old Wyoming shot in the last light of day.
Happy birthday to this beautiful fiery soul Sonia aka @doepaoro - another talented human in my life for whom I’m grateful. Fun fact: today is also my mom and my husband‘s birthday. SO many Virgos in my life, I’m surrounded. Wishing all of you sweet Virgos a wonderful year ahead ❣️
‘Develop interest in life as you see it; in people, things, literature, music—the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls and interesting people. Forget yourself.’ Henry Miller
Still dwelling on my Wyoming archives - missing this place, its vistas and people. I’ve wanted to live there since I was a child, the promise of horse country. Three years ago, I was able to take part in an artist residency program located in the middle of nowhere, about an hour from Sheridan. It left my English saddle behind and got my western riding in - literally. All I’ve wanted since is to go back and spend a few more months there, make a book.
My collodion portrait by @thomas__paquet and Jean-Denis Robert in the middle of nowhere in the Loire Valley this summer, with Tina, my father’s lovely English Setter who gracefully lent herself to the game.
About six weeks since my last post 💁🏻♀️ setting a new record for this last couple of years. This summer has been one of the most hectic to date with tons of traveling through France and the US. I am now back in Cali and settling again into my own pace. Looking forward to discovering what the last quarter of 2018 has in stock. Welcome back to school everyone!
The talented @doepaoro - signed with @antirecords - is having a residency this month @blackrabbitrose as part of the @writersblockla songwriter series. If you have a chance, check her out.
