What a difference a year makes!! We were delighted to receive this message from Keeva's Dad today. “As you can see her progress has been amazing. We never imagined she would be able to progress from her trike to a two wheel bike. She absolutely loves cycling and enjoys the freedom of going around the block and cycling down to the park.
My family can not thank your charity enough for the gift of a bicycle. This has motivated Keeva to keep up her rehabilitation exercises and she can now walk unaided, a major achievement considering the removal of most of her pelvis bone and 30% of the hip bone due to her specific cancer.
Keeva is now coming up to one year in remission and getting stronger day by day.”
On Monday this week we met James for the second time. The first time was in July when his Dad was riding for CFC at the Broughton Castle Sportive. James was coping with the effects of his on going treatment for ALL (leukaemia) and was struggling to walk.
It was great to see him so excited and raring to go on his new CFC bike. Not only that he handed me a cheque for £500 raised by his amazing family for CFC to help other children. Keep pedalling everyone! Mike Grisenthwaite @mike._griz CFC Founder . 😀👍 🚲 #cycling#charity#family#childhoodcancer#givingback#acutelymphoblasticleukemia

Day 6 - San Sebastián to Eibar.
Crazy day. Mike’s Strava pretty much sums it up: Mountains, Mechanicals and Midnight Descents. Our shortest mileage day went a bit wrong but we all made it safely to Eibar. Amazing scenery everywhere.
One day to go, 30 miles into Bilbao in the rain, but some big mechanical issues to sort before then.
Keep those donations coming for @cyclistsfightingcancer
#achievement Robert Glen rides for CFC
After 1031 miles of #cycling through 4 nations and fighting many battles along the way, just after 2pm yesterday I arrived in Berlin at the amazing #brandenburggate to be greeted by incredible friends and family. Shortly after I was told the amount raised for @cyclistsfightingcancer was over £4k, double the original target!
I personally want to thank everyone who has shown their #support for the project and the charity over the past year. In the difficult times, the knowledge of the huge support back home drove me through.
I especially want to thank my sister Vikki Glen for keeping the show running back home throughout after my technology failures when arriving in France. Most importantly she always made sure I had somewhere to sleep and somewhere to eat.
This achievement wouldn't be possible without the support of everyone involved and I am thrilled to wake up in my favorite city of Berlin today! #awesome#charity#charitybikeride#rideforus#keeppedalling
