Well thanks to the poll I put up yesterday we have something totally different. For some reason it doesn’t look like water and it makes me uncomfortable. I have no idea what that orange stuff is on that grey weird line but hey.
Where I live in Spain, although it’s literally on the beach, I’ve found it difficult to go out and get shots of water because:
1. They’d all be exactly the same
2. I’ve been rather busy with work
3. FIFA came out recently
Anyway. I hope you enjoy looking at this. I’m gonna try and post more of what I like and vary it up a bit! Here’s hoping my interaction rate hasn’t plummeted into oblivion as I get 7 likes in 32 hours.
Bye friends πŸ‘‹ β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”-

This is another photo of the three rocks in the ocean just off the coast of AlmuΓ±Γ©car!

I’ve only been here for a couple of months now and this area is already one of my favourite places to watch a sunset πŸŒ…
It’s so peaceful and serene.
There’s not a lot else to say really as I feel the photo speaks for itself!

The other night we had massive thunder storms and a CRAZY amount of lightning. 🌩🌩🌩 By the time I had gotten home and unpacked my camera, set it all up and grabbed my spot on the beach all the lightning had gone behind the hill you see in the distance.

It’s been a long hiatus since my last post over one month ago and a lot has changed in the month since my last photo!
Last year I worked with a football club as their photographer and they invited me back for a second season this year which of course I accepted! (Go follow them @fcmalagacity & @cdalmunecarcity )

So I moved back to Spain. Back to AlmuΓ±Γ©car and it’s my home for the next nine months at least.
I’ve been crazy busy at matches and everything which is why I haven’t had any time to go out and take photos! Last night was my first opportunity to get out there and do what I love best - water shots!! So here’s my first of a few that I’ll be uploading over the next week or so!

I’ve also decided to feature other people’s water posts because I want to create a mini community where we can all appreciate and share each other’s work!

Anyway. I’ve met some amazing people this time around and I’m hoping to get way more into the photography side of things from here on out. After all I do live on the beach!

Big thanks to @glillie10 for coming along yesterday. See you soon big guy xo

This was taken on my first night in Spain at the beautiful harbour in Malaga city centre. .
.
There’s a reason this delightful little city is one of my favourite places in the world and it’s this exact one πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ .
.
I haven’t posted daily at all which is awful on my behalf but I have had zero time to take photos for myself near any water! .
.
In two weeks we will be moving to the beach for the remainder of the season so photos will be regular as hell from then! .
.
In the meantime I am in the process of editing my first ever vlog. It’s about being a photographer on a budget and explaining why I do certain things with certain shots and ultimately about documenting my progress as a beginner. Hopefully some of you will tune in!

Here in the United Kingdom we have had some absolutely mental weather. It’s been ridiculously hot for weeks now and suddenly the last two days have absolutely turned. It’s now pouring with rain 24/7!!

Admittedly this was needed because some of our reservoirs were drying out and in some parts of the country they even enforced a hosepipe ban 🀭

Because of the dreadful weather I’ve been unable to take my camera anywhere due to fear of it being destroyed by the rain! So I’ve decided to post another throwback from Lumsdale Falls!

Another shot of another waterfall. I’m getting kind of used to shooting these things! I love the danger and nerve-wracking wait, knee deep in water, to get the perfect exposure. Another shot of another waterfall. I’m getting kind of used to shooting these things! I love the danger and nerve-wracking wait, knee deep in water, to get the perfect exposure. Lumsdale falls really exceeded my expectation, the waterfalls just kept going and going and getting bigger and bigger! Well that’s what it seemed like anyway. A true success! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” πŸ“Lumsdale Falls β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” I don’t really have a question tonight but please feel free to leave a comment down below! β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” Camera: Canon 77D Lens: 18-55mm ISO: 100 Aperture: f/3.5 Shutter Speed: 44 seconds β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
This was the largest waterfall of the day. It wasn’t too high but the fact that the pool underneath was so deep it was black made the whole situation all the more ominous. One of my favourite days as a photographer for sure!

This was at the very end of my little walk through Lumsdale Falls. I had to ask an elderly woman how to get to the end to get a shot like this. She pointed the way and later on found her way up there herself! She saw me knee deep in water with my camera and just laughed at me πŸ€—πŸ€—

Sorry I didn’t post yesterday! I was feeling super super ill and I have been visiting family in the south of England by the sea! This photo is my longest exposure time ever at 320 seconds! I was sceptical at the outcome but I must say I absolutely love this photo! Hopefully it forgives my lack of post yesterday πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I’ve been to a place in England called Matlock a lot. Mum and Dad used to have a business there so I spent a lot of evenings after school in and around the town. Never in a million years did I think a place as quiet and beautiful as this existed. Lumsdale waterfalls was a true surprise and one I absolutely loved experiencing with my camera πŸ“Έβ€οΈ

What you can’t see here is how deep the water was around my feet and my tripod. It took me a couple of attempts to get this long exposure because I couldn’t let go of my camera for fear of drowning it! Not to mention the slimiest, most slippery rocks ON THE PLANET! πŸ“Έ
