On August 24, 2018 the launch window opens for the RB-3/RB-4 mission from @NASA Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. About 120 student experiments will reach near-space at an altitude of 36 km (~22 miles) on NASA's SIFT mission. The SIFT mission is testing a rotator for future super-pressure balloon missions to the Antarctic, and they hope to be "at float" for at least 4 hours of daylight and 4 hours of night. More details soon!
@cubesinspace 80 experiments just returned to the dock from being retrieved from the Atlantic Ocean 35 nautical miles off the coast of Virginia. Thanks Dale Dycus for being on the scene and taking pics!
