Lord I'm tired
I don't know what to do
Every drifting moment
Is a pain and I'm blue
I wanna be better
But I don't know how
I don't have a clue
Cause I keep stumbling
And it all feels like déjà vu
I keep repeating my mistakes
Like a dog returning to his vomit
I try to do the right thing
But I keep falling for the devil's deceit
I know I should be better
I know I'm stronger than this
But I keep fooling myself
And accept my own defeat
Lord you did what no one else would do
In this world for me
You gave away your own life
Just to set me free
You showed me what love is
On the cross of Calvary
I'm overwhelmed by your Grace
Now I'm down on my knees
Your grace has found me
Just the way I am
A lost sinner, wild and worldly
Living in a wasteland
You gave me hope
And called me your friend
Your unconditional love is genuine
It's beyond comprehend
There's nothing I can do
To earn your favor
No matter how good I am
Or how difficult the labor
All I can do is trust in you
Revere God, cherish my enemies
And love my neighbors
Cause in you I found my hope for eternity
Christ the king, my savior
I've failed too many times
But your mercy still remains
You've helped me through my miseries
And saved me from my shame
I was just a nobody
Till you called me by my name
Now because of you
My life would never be the same
You gave me hope and purpose
And a desire to live
Now I know the truth
Never again will I be deceived
I have hidden your words
Within my heart, buried deep
In you I have found rest
Now my soul is at peace
I remember when I was a child, my parents used to discipline me every single time I did something wrong. Sometimes they would even hit me, in order to teach me. I still have marks on my body from this one time my mom hit me with a stick, cause I was disobedient. Of course, back then I didn't like it. But as I grew up and started to understand more about life, I realized they did the right thing. Those beatings were necessary to keep me on the right path in life. I'm so glad they did that. My parents saved me from ruining my own life.
The book of Proverbs tells us to discipline our children while there is still hope for them, so they will not go down to death. It also tells us to strike our children with a rod, because they will not die if you do so. Instead, you'll be saving their soul from hell.
Of course nowadays if you beat your children, it's called "child abuse" and you could end up in jail for that. But I think sometimes it's necessary to beat a child in order to save his soul. I think children nowadays would behave much better if their parents had disciplined them, instead of letting them do as they please.
Sometimes I wonder how it all came to this. There are 15-year-olds who already have 'girlfriends' and 'boyfriends'. They go through 'breakups', commit fornication and disobey their parents. To them life is all about 'YOLO - so do whatever you want'. When I look at them, I see a bunch of kids high on hormones, lacking sense and wisdom.
What caused them to be this way? They never had proper discipline! They lack wisdom. They don't have the word of God hidden in their hearts. If you respect God, fear Him and live according to His word, you'll be living the life that God wants you to live. Not the life you want to live. It's important for parents to discipline their children, so they will not stray away to the wrong paths. And if you're a young adult, you should live a disciplined life and follow God's direction. Read the word of God! Gain knowledge, understanding, and wisdom so you can stay on the right path. This will also help you to be a good parent in the future, so you too can save your children's soul from going down to hell.
All the times that I've groaned
Out of rage and impatience
You've shown me your love
Your grace and patience
All the times that I've rejected
Your words and decree
You came back for this lost sheep
Even when I wasn't sorry
All the times that I went astray
And came back weeping
You held me close to you
And gave me everything
I know I've wronged you
I tried to escape and run
Lord I'm sorry
For all the things that I've done
I've kept you in a box
And never gave you my all
I tried to hide my sins away
But Lord you know them all
I was only there
When I needed your help
I cried to you in trouble
Your gace caught me again
And lifted me up like a bubble
I did the very things
You told me not to do
I disobeyed your commands
And followed this world's view
I know, I know, I've hurt you a ton
Lord I'm sorry
For all the things that I've done
I've seen a lot of things
That I know I'm not suppose to
I didn't keep my promise
I couldn't push through
The flesh is weak
But the spirit indeed is willing
I promised to be different this time
But then I stumbled again in sin
I'm tired of being a victim
Of satan's alluring evil schemes
Lord please strengthen my spirit
I wanna do the right thing
I wanna spend my life with you
I don't wanna live in sin
I've broken your heart, I've overrun
Lord I'm sorry
For all the things that I've done
After all those things I did
The mistakes that I've made
Your grace lifts me higher
You forgive me like a kid
Your love surrounds me
You fill my heart and soul
You still call me your own
You see me as a whole
I know I don't deserve this
I don't deserve this at all
But you still want me in your life
You want to give me your all
You were there before the world begun
You know everything under the sun
Lord I'm sorry
For all the things that I've done
Abraham was a faithful man, he believed in the Lord. Abraham believed in God's promises. He believed that nothing was too hard for God. Nothing was impossible for Him. God promised Abraham a son and He kept His promise. Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham when he was 100 years old! Isaac was the promised child.
One day God told Abraham to offer his only son, Issac, as a burnt offering. What's surprising is that, Abraham did not say anything against God at all! He did not question God, but simply followed His command. The next day he took his son along with him and journeyed to the mountain where God told him to go.
Once they arrived at the mountain, Abraham tied his son Isaac to the alter and Isaac did not say anything against his father. He knew what was about to happen. He was a strong, young man. He could have run away, fought or hurt his father, but he did not. He trusted his father. He was obedient, even when he knew what was about to happen. When Abraham took the knife to slay his son, the angel of the Lord called out to him and told him not to hurt his son. God now knew that Abraham feared Him in his heart and was willing to sacrifice his one and only son for Him.
Abraham had living faith! He trusted God, even when he was about to lose everything. Abraham believed in God's plans, His timing and promises for his life. Abraham stayed faithful till the end.
Do we have that kind of faith? Are we willing to cling on to God even if we have to lose everything? God wants us to give Him our 100% not just a little part of us. He doesn't just want the happy, sad or the best moments to be shared with Him. He wants it all. He wants ALL of you! God wants to see your faith! He wants to see your heart.
Do you really want to live for God and His glory? Then give him your all! Surrender yourself to Him. Hold fast to Him. Never let go, no matter what happens! No matter how difficult it gets. Cause even through the storm, God is with you. If you hold fast to Him, you can hear his gentle whisper. He will keep you safe and give you peace. With God you have everything, but without Him you are nothing.
Sometimes in life, everything feels so pointless. You begin to ask yourself, what's the point of all this? You just don't feel like living anymore because of all the problems you have in your life.
We all have various problems in our lives. Maybe there are things we want, but can’t have. Maybe we have certain disabilities. Maybe we think that we're not good enough. So we begin to live in our own shell, with the few who knows us and we avoid everyone else in fear of being let down.
It’s amazing how all this started because of the lack of love. We couldn't love enough. We couldn't love others. We couldn't accept God's love. We couldn't accept ourselves the way we are, because we hated a part of us. So we feared that we wouldn't be accepted by others. Don't we all feel this way sometimes?
We're all unique, we each see the world in a different way. We didn't all grow up in the same neighborhood, under the same circumstances. Our lives are different. But what's amazing is that our Father in heaven is one. We have a loving Father who created us.
God knit you together in your mother's womb. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not a mistake. There's a reason for your life, far greater than you realize. God created you for a purpose. You are special. He cares for you. The Father's love is always there for you. God thought of you, before you were even conceived. He molded you in His image. He created you beautifully. He gave you a mind that would pull you above all the hurt and the pain, until in His own timing He would heal you.
Your earthly parents may abandon you, but God would never leave you. When you're far away from Him, He still awaits your return. He wants you back in His life. He was there for you all along, holding you and keeping you surrounded by His soothing love.
You need to forgive yourself for everything you've done so far. It's time to reestablish the broken relationship with your Father in heaven. He's eagerly waiting for your return. His love can warm your frosted heart. You can love again. You can rise above the hurt. You can renew your soul and live the life you were meant to live.
God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. He uses the broken, the helpless, the lost, the hopeless, the weak and ordinary people to do great things for His kingdom and His glory. You don’t have to be special to do great things for God or others. You just have to obey God, hear His voice, follow Him where He leads you and He will use you for an amazing purpose. You don’t have to be special, just be ordinary.
Elijah was suicidal and God chose to use him, Joseph was abused and God worked through him to save the whole world during the famine in Egypt. Moses had speech problems and God used him to lead the Israelites for 40 years in the desert. Noah was a drunk and God chose him to build the ark. David was a murderer and God still used him for His glory. Jonah ran away from God, yet God spared his life and used him to save the city of Nineveh. Peter denied Jesus three times and still God used Him to spread the Gospel. Paul was a Pharisee who persecuted Christians and God changed his entire life and used him to spread the Gospel, to heal others, to perform miracles and to strengthen the church.
God sees your heart, your intentions, your faith. He does not look at your outer appearance, but the beauty within. He looks at your heart. Do you have a heart for God? Do you have a heart that say, “Yes! I will live for God.” Do you have a heart that wants to help others? Do you have a heart that cares selflessly? God wants you to love others from the bottom of your heart. He wants you to enjoy His creation, not hate it! He wants you to live according to His words.
God can use you too for a greater purpose, but you have to do your part. You can’t run away from God, avoid him, live according to your will and expect great things from Him. No! You have to surrender to God’s will and allow Him to lead you where He wants to. To the world you may be ordinary, but in God’s sight you are always special. Because He created you in His own image. Let God shine through you and let Him turn your brokenness into beauty.
Not everyone who says, "I care" actually cares for you. Most people don't really care for you or your well being. There are people who say that they "care for you", but in reality they won't even care enough to know how you're doing. They're never there when you need them. Nobody's around when life's a mess, when you don't know what to do, when you need someone to talk to, when you need some advice or simply a friend who'd say, "I'm here for you". It's easy to say "I care", but it's difficult to show it. It's easy to say "I'm here for you", but to actually be there for someone when they're going through a difficult situation in life is something that's rare.
People are selfish. They only care about themselves and the only time they actually "care" about someone else is when they need some help that would benefit them. It doesn't matter how sweet someone seems or the flattery they use, at the end of the day they only care about themselves. In my life, every single time I cared for someone, all I got back in return is hatred and pain. I learned that people never mean what they say. They get your hopes up then crashes you into a million pieces and leaves you in utter pain and despair.
There is however, someone who truly cares for you and that is God! He cares so much that he's willing to die for you. And the amazing thing is he did. He showed that he actually loves and cares for you by dying for you on the cross of Calvary. There's no greater love than this! Human love is just mere words. God's love is pure and authentic. If you don't understand the love of God and if God's love is not in you, how can you ever love someone else? You can't! Cause without God, it's all vanity.
With God by your side, you don't have to be afraid because he will rescue you, he will fight for you. With him, you have hope and salvation. You have a guide for your life, he will provide all your needs. God created you and he loves you! He will forever love you more than anyone ever will. He cares for you, so cast all your anxieties on him. With him you have everything, without him there's nothing. So, submit to God and experience him. Let him feel you with his unending love.
The love of God is unconditional and pure. It's through God that we truly experience love. We know about love, because He first loved us. As humans, we're always drawn towards hatred and jealousy, because we were birthed through sin. Sin is in our blood and we love to do the things we're told not to do. It's in our nature to break the rules and create chaos. But at the same time we long for peace and fulfillment.
Sin separates us from God. We can never be united with God because we have sin within us. The only way we can be in God's presence is if we were without sin. But that's not possible unless there's a way to separate ourselves from our sins. Every time we commit a sin we experience shame and guilt, because our spirit doesn't like the sinful acts we do. God doesn't want us to move far away from Him. He wants us back even after all those shameful things we've said, looked at and done.
God so loved us and the world that He sent His one and only son, to prepare a way for us. He sacrificed His own son on the cross for the sins of all humanity. Jesus took all our shame, guilt and sins and died in our place, so that we can be saved from our sins and be reunited with God. Jesus was sacrificed once and for all, for all of humanity. Now all we have to do is repent our sins, confess Christ as our Lord and savior and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead and we will be saved!
We are saved by the grace of God. We can never be perfect in God's sight by doing good deeds! Think of all the things you do. Can you truly say that you don't sin even once during your day? I don't think so. We can never be perfect or achieve perfection by doing good deeds. The only sure way to God is through His son Jesus Christ.
Think of all the times you've broken God's heart by disobeying Him and His commandments. But still He forgives you only if you ask. And how many times a day do you earnestly pray? Can you really blame God for anything? God is our eternal Father! He sustains us all. Without Him we're nothing, but dust. When the love of the Father is in us, we learn how to truely love others, because we've experienced that love through His son Jesus Christ.
Sometimes in life, you feel hopeless and hollow. The struggles and worries of this life may often be too difficult to tolerate. There are so many worries in life. You may worry about all the things you don't have, things you never did and wishes and dreams that you never accomplished. The people you know may have a better life than you, a hopeful future, more love, adventures, achievements and a plethora of things that you wish you could have. But maybe you feel stuck in your current situation. Maybe nothing in life makes sense to you. Maybe the very thing you love seems impossible to achieve.
I know this may sound ridiculous, but you don't have to worry about any of those! Because you can't change your current situation by worrying about it, but what you can do is put your trust in God. If you submit your life to God and allow Him to take charge of your life, you'll have the best life that you can ever imagine. Because God will be there with you. He will help you to get through those difficult situations. He will provide your needs, because with God nothing is impossible!
God provided water out of rocks, bread from heaven, He divided the Red sea for the Israelites to walk across on dry ground. In the end He even made a way for you to be saved from your sins through His one and only son, Jesus Christ! He showed His love, by dying for you while you were still a sinner. He had mercy on you. God showed you His grace through His son, Jesus, so that by believing in Him you may be saved and have eternal life. How amazing is that! If that’s not love, then I don’t know what is.
God knows your situation and He will make a way! He works in ways we cannot see, but you have to trust Him completely! You can't expect amazing things, if you don't change and put God first in your life. After all, He is your maker. He knows you more than you'll ever know yourself.
So, let God lead the way! Follow Him and let Him transform you into the person you're suppose to be. Once you put Him first and obey His words, your life will change for the better. He will always be there for you and will provide all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus!
