Today is a big day at the Grayshan household!
We are a stone's throw away from completing the first stage of moving my business onto the next level, turning over $120,000 a year and teaching others to do the same.
A lot of you will know my background- I qualified with a 1st class degrees in forensic science and became a scientist with a pharmaceutical firm.
However after having Elsie my whole life changed ❤ I didn't want to spend all my time rushing from work to nursery, working hard for someone else's dream, working in the summer holidays and not seeing her. After having George I wanted to make a change. We decided it was best all round for me not to return to work, support Nick as he frequently travelled abroad for his career, and be present for the family. I resigned and became a full time mum to my two little monkeys. It was scary at the time although I have never looked back. However I am a driven person and wanted something extra for myself and to build for my families future. So I did something about it!
I listened to an opportunity which quite frankly scared me as it wasn't the norm but was essentially risk free. I decide to go for it and see how I got on. I am SO glad I did!
George was 4 months old and my business consisted of me and my phone. I switched my skincare to a cleaner, toxin free, more effective brand, through my own shop I bought at a discount, and I shared the opportunity and the products with people who had a need. With (part time) hard work and learning, I have a beautiful client base and a team of wonderfully supportive ladies running their own businesses for their own goals. I promoted my business shortly after to District level, the 1st of only 4 levels in the business.
That's when I saw the huge potential. A year on and I'm about the complete the 2nd level where the average income is £1,000-£3,000 a month, working flexibly around my family and doing more self development then I ever imagined which has changed me for the better. The friendships, the experiences I have had, and will continue to have, I will always cherish. ❤
SELF EMPLOYED DRAMAS
I know many people who are self employed and it generally means if they don't work they don't get paid right? Sick time off=No sick pay. Holiday= No holiday pay.
So this is why I started to look at how I could maximise the time I could work as I didn't want this problem. If I only have 10 hours free per week to work, how could I get the maximum benefit from this.
In my business, I don't get paid per hour like normal jobs. I work once and get paid over and over on that work I did. This means if I work 10 hours, I would be getting paid on much more than that. It also means I'm not relying on 'work and hour, get paid for an hour' too.
This is because I am creating and building a business with residual income. I coach people to build businesses to give them that extra money to reduce their hours at their job, quit their job, give back to charities or whatever their dreams are. I also help people become the best versions of themselves- be healthier and create a life they want, not one that is forced upon them by their job.
When I researched time leverage and the cash quadrant it was clear to me, social marketing was the way forward to build a business for my family.
Where will you be in 5 years...? Do you like the look of that future....? There is only 1 person that can change how it looks. YOU. With my help 😉
