October is Babyloss Awareness Month.
We work with parents on a daily basis who are trying to cope with the loss of their baby, by arranging their funeral. We direct grandparents to where they too can get some support while they are supporting their child, who has lost their child. We have volunteers who do so because they, or a family member have lost their baby. We have women who want to donate a dress because they have been affected by babyloss. We have men who are fundraising for us because their baby died too.
Babyloss affects 1 in 4 women. Babyloss should not be a taboo.
We have some wonderful news.
Megan McKay, the co-founder of Cherished Gowns has been recognised for her tireless work by @10downingstreet with the prestigious Point of Light award.
This is a national award personally granted by the PM. All of us at Cherished Gowns UK are delighted she has been recognised in this way and want to say how proud we are of her and all she has done.
