Here in BC, our beautiful province is on fire 😥
We are surrounded by smoke right, there’s ash falling from the sky and all I can think about is how much worse it must be closer to those devastating fires. I also just want to send out a virtual THANK YOU to all the brave men and women fighting those fires on a daily basis to keep us safe.
My town isn’t in any immediate danger (so thankful for that!), but so many are. So many individuals are worried and scared of losing everything right now.
In those hard times, when we are hit with tragedy or grief or a huge life event, is so often when we take a step back and really look at our lives.
How are we spending our time? Are we doing the things we should be doing? Spending the most quality time with the ones we love? Investing our time and energy into this that really fuel our passions? Are we leaving the legacy behind that we want?
Whatever gets you to start asking those questions about your life - I’m all for it. Clarity and personal reflection is KEY. But I do want to encourage you to start thinking about those things on a DAILY basis. When things are hard but also when you feel like things are going great! There’s always room to level up, room to improve and room to seek more clarity and knowledge about your life. 👉👉Are you going to look back on your life with regret or disappointment?
Change IS possible. 👉👉Your life now? Doesn't have to be the rest of your life.
Change is possible.
You may not think it is, but it is. For all of us.
We change by choice.
Once choice at a time.
Different choices...different life.
If you're ready for that next step....if you're ready to start making those choices and those changes, come join me in The EDGE Insider, where I provide all the tools, training and support you need to get there.

Enjoy every moment of your perfectly imperfect life.
When we are trapped by the need to "be perfect", we lose all peace. We become consumed, our ego takes over, and we aren't present to enjoy and appreciate the life and the love surrounding us.
But the reality is that being perfect is a trap - it's a false goal and it only leads to disappointment because there truly is no such thing as the perfect life, the perfect business, the perfect family.
Don't allow yourself to get sucked into the social media comparison game; because the majority of people are only posting the filtered, edited, perfect images....a mere snapshot of their lives.
You aren't seeing the whole story so don't compare your life to those few moments.
Enjoy the journey and have gratitude for every moment, every quirk, every stumbling block along the way.
Do your best, be your best and focus on life and love - THAT is perfection. ~Charlotte 💋
7 years ago, I left the city, left an incredible career and moved back to my small hometown.
I was a single mom, living with her parents and her new baby boy, in a small town. I was in debt and my fashion degree was no good in this town of 7,800 people...I also had just finished up my career with Lululemon Athletica and didn’t see a close alternative here to work for.
I could've easily fallen into mediocrity....working a job I wasn't passionate about, living in a body that I didn't necessarily love or treat well, and going through the motions that I thought I was "supposed" to be going through.
I knew I wanted more. I knew I was destined for more in my life.
So I went to work.
I launched my own consulting business from the ground up.
And I can say that I’m in a great place NOW, but that certainly wasn’t always the case.
I had so many slumps and hard times over those years.
I was working so hard.
I felt so clear on what I was working towards.
I was taking the right steps, aligning myself with the right people and making smart choices to push myself and my business forward.
And yet...it took a long time to see the progress that I wanted.
I felt like my hard work wasn’t amounting to anything.
I didn’t feel any closer to my goals and felt like I was just spinning my wheels.
To read more on how I pushed through that discouragement and frustration to really reach my goals, head over to this week's blog (link in profile) 💋
Hi! It’s Kayla from @theroastedchickpea bringing you Charlotte’s weekly food prep!
This week’s menu:
-Gluten-free chocolate zucchini muffins
-Peeled hard-boiled eggs (I will fully admit I am not a great peeler - any tips? I’ve tried ice baths, etc. I’m at a loss!)
-Keto naan bread (made with almond and tapioca flour)
-Moroccan chickpea stew with basmati rice🌿
Mistakes are proof that you're trying.
And I choose trying and failing over doing nothing every damn day.
Because at least you're taking ACTION.
At least you're pushing yourself.
And failing is just a way to gain information and clarity.
You never know which moment will be the one where things just suddenly click and fall into place.
So keep making those mistakes.
Keep pushing forward.
It will be so worth it.
Are you living your life for you?
Are you living in alignment of your best self?
Take ownership of your life.
We only get this one. And the worst thing you can do is look back on your life with regret.
Regret that you lived according to someone else's rules.
Because you didn't have the courage to make a change.
Or because you stayed in the job that "society" says you should have.
Or you kept yourself in a toxic situation because you just didn't want to have those difficult conversations.
Regret that you didn't spend every moment possible doing the things that nourish and feed your soul.
Just a reminder this morning that this is YOUR life.
If you need some help stepping into living it according to your rules, please reach out to me :) xo,
I’m loving the succulent and cactus trend🌵So many varieties of beautiful colours and textures. But the resiliency of these plants it what makes them extra amazing. Almost anyone can keep them alive😏
It's not the quantity, it's the quality that matters❤️
Are you giving your time to people/projects/tasks that are taking from you and not giving back to you? Time that isn't enhancing you in anyway? .
🚫wasted time and distractions
🚫projects that aren't moving you closer to your goals
Always think...every minute you give takes away from something you love. It makes you feel resentful.
Protect your time, protect your energy.
Say NO to the things that don't matter and little by little you will generate more time, more energy, more peace and more self worth!
Be open when receiving honest feedback from others.
Stop questioning whether they are right or wrong and stop seeking excuses. Their opinion is their truth and that's all that matters.
Listen and acknowledge what people are telling you.
Showing people that you are truly listening, that you're present in the moment and that you care about their feedback builds trust and respect.
Put your ego aside and just listen. ~Charlotte 💋
No more apologies.
No more living life according to someone else's rules. Someone else's plans.
Someone else's standards.
Your life. Your happiness. Your rules.
Live with integrity, compassion and honesty....but do YOU.

You’re working so hard.
You feel like you are so clear on what you’re working towards.
You are taking the right steps and making smart choices to push yourself forward.
And yet...you aren’t seeing any progress 😤
You aren’t seeing that hard work amount to anything.
You don’t feel like you’re any closer to those goals. 🔥You feel frustrated. 🔥Angry. 🔥Discouraged to no end.
Listen, I get it. I have been there so many times I can’t even count and I have really had to self-coach and lean on the tools I teach in terms of High Performance coaching to get myself through those tough times.
But it’s not easy; to feel like you’re taking all the right steps but yet not seeing the results happen.
It’s so discouraging.
Every single successful person in this world has been through this; what’s the difference between those who just give up and allow those feelings of frustration to take over and those who charge ahead, through those bad feelings, ultimately reaching those goals?
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ll tell you what I coach on and what has worked in my own life! 💫 In this episode of the Change by Choice show, I’m going to give you a few tools and strategies that I use, and I hope you can too, when I’m feeling that discouragement when pushing towards a goal in my life. You can listen to Episode 56: Pushing Past Discouragement on iTunes, Podcast Addict or Spotify.
Comment below and share how YOU push past disappointment, discouragement and feelings of frustration when you’re working towards something.

A lot of my content revolves around person and professional development, but a little inside note as to why I love doing photo shoots and incorporating style into my brand is that I actually started my career as a fashion designer. 👠 That’s originally what I went to school for. I truly believe that when we incorporate creative expression and style into our lives we live more authentically.
