Story time from our tour in Sun Studios:
Before it was Sun Studios, it was called Memphis Recording Studios. 🤟🏼 It was hard for Phillips to keep profits up. His first hit happens! With bearcat by Rufus Thomas and it nearly makes him go bankrupt for copyright infringement (listen to the song and tell me what song it sounds like... ) and soon enough... a little greasy high schoolboy pops up and auditions. Elvis played song after song and Phillips wasn’t impressed. Towards the end (Elvis frustrated that he couldn’t win him over) starting playing “that all right” with one last burst of energy!! And it was history from then on!!!!
