Sweating up a storm this morning at FIT KIDS! Yusss! 😃👏👏 So how often should we do high intensity training? When we start to feel stronger and see results, naturally we want to do more.. and more. But this kind of training is best done 3 times a week maximum. It’s pretty intensive and over training can interrupt our nervous system. So if you want to add more training into your current regime.. mix it up! Go for a run, a swim, a bike ride, do some yoga or perhaps try a new sport. You’ll see even better results by adding variation into your training plan - stretching, intervals, endurance and strength training is a perfect formula for a well balanced body and will also help reduce risk of injury. Pair this with really good nutrition and you have a winning formula. If you workout but still eat crap, then you’ll probably still feel crap and see crap results.
Remember exercise and rest is only 20% of the success formula to feeling and looking your best. Nutrition is 80% 💪

Today’s lunch.. superfood rainbow salad with fresh basil & baby herbs + a balsamic & mustard dressing and lemon Salmon made at home with the lovely @sarah_carlyle 😊🙌... just catching up on life ( that’s seems to just whiz by way too frikken fast! ).. and we ended up throwing our hands up to the sky wondering why nutrition is not taught in schools throughout? What humans may arise if they were armed with better intelligence on healthy living from day 1? The mind boggles.

Getting up at 5:30am Mon - Weds - Fri to train with these awesome women at 6:20am makes it even more worth it when our morning gym sky looks like this. Nothing beats working out outside. There is something so incredible, so raw, so balancing, so simple about working up a sweat outside in the fresh air. I always have the thought in my head “ while you were sleeping” this is what we were doing.. I don’t ever want to be at the point of counting my sunrises and sunsets and wishing I had seen more. This my friends is one of the best skies I’ve seen in a while. And what a stunning way to experience it 🤗🙏
My Sunday homemade ”Chocolate Cherry Protein Pancakes” produced out of my sisters-in-law @mccrumkatie and @leahdunthorne fabulous Camden kitchen this weekend. We stayed in their freshly refurbed & stylish @camdencabin - complete with en-suite and massive glass doors out to a private urban decked garden - super chic, comfy and modern - and right in the heart of colourful Camden, London!! Our boys were pumped to camp out next to us in their camp beds and sleeping bags. Such a fun night. A delicious family weekend hanging out, eating, drinking, laughing and admiring all their gorgeous interiors. Now dreaming of what we can do to our place.. one day 🙏

Ok so it’s no secret that essential oils are frikken awesome. Humankind has used essential oils since the invention of distillation some 1,000 years ago 🙏 Essential oils are not magic bullets, but they can offer genuine health benefits, which are often based on their bioactive properties. “There are three principal modes of use for essential oils: topical application, inhalation, and oral ingestion”. Oral ingestion??!! Who knew! I’m forever dousing our pillows with drops of lavender oil before bed and using tea tree oil to treat the occasional spot! But I never thought to include any sort of essential oil in my superfood protein shakes! I nearly flipped when I tried our IsaLean vanilla with fresh blueberries and a drop of our Lemon Essence. Omfg! Next level!!! 🙏🙌 not all essential oils can be ingested though!!! I’m super excited for our range that has launched in the US, Australia and New Zealand.. and soon to be UK & Europe. Bring it on!!!!
My BODYHIIT6 girls are literally jumping for joy as we complete week 2 of our 6 week outdoor fitness series. Supercharging fat burning, boosting energy and building strength in muscle we never knew we had. I love this type of HIIT training - intensive exercise pyramids leaving us knackered but a teal sense of achievement. We’ve trained under a full harvest moon, incredible sunrises, a criss cross blue sky from planes and now this lovely early morning mist ( which was welcome considering how sweaty we got ). Grateful the weather has been on our side - so far! 😆🙏 Girls feeling energised, strong, smug 😂 and ready for the weekend. 💪
Charlie ran ahead of me as we approached our house from school, I watched him climb our wall and I found him like this 🙏 when I asked him what we was doing, he said “ when I close my eyes, I’m to think about the whole world...” .. this literally took my breath away. I’m guessing they are teaching him mindfulness in his year 1 class or perhaps something in drama ( which is awesome if they are!! ) but the fact he did this and recalled it in this way put a massive smile on my face. I wish I had known more about meditation and mindfulness when I was younger, it’s now something I’ve only more recently brought into my life as a permanent habit. It’s something I’ve definitely thought about teaching my boys. School seems so different now to when I was at school. My mind explodes with the thought of more conscious generations and where perhaps it will lead them, us, the planet. But for now, my little Buddha is only 5, he’s enjoying the play of it all and the world is his oyster. 😍
Feel the buuuurrrrnnnnn... I had a killer leg workout today trained by the beautiful @emmaashley3 💪 if you want to step it up a little give this a shot. I found it a struggle to initially balance and jump but after a few tries I got the hang of it, but which I was sweating and knackered! 😆The second exercise thoroughly exhausts the legs. 15kg bar. Yeouchy!!!!! GO!

I leerrve me some peaches. I even love their furry skins. They are sooo good in my spiced vanilla superfood protein bowl. I added coconut water, a shed load of ice, peaches and raspberries into my nutri-bullet.. the texture was lovely, thick and yet gorgeously light. I had some flaked roasted almonds and chia seeds too to decorate the top too.
Best ‘fast food’ for lunch. Ever. Took me literally 5mins to make. This just makes me so happy 🙏
Morning superstars!!!🕺 I don’t know about you, but I am always interested in doing things “better.” I am always searching for the best ways to maximize my workouts and help the girls push their boundaries to progress. And, if that means changing what we eat and drink before we get to the gym, or whipping up an IsaPro Shake as soon as we are done with a high intensity HIIT class, we’re on board with getting better results. Exercise is only 20% of the equation - your nutrition makes up for the 80% - if you don’t fuel your body right, you’ll be disappointed in the lacklustre results you’ll see despite your physical efforts. Fact.
Likewise, any athlete might start a workout feeling hungry or irritable, and, if they do, performance will be low, probability for injury high, and recovery delayed. I can’t get this roast chicken out of my head. We went to a cute little pub this weekend in St Margaret’s and took the kids for a Sunday roast. The whole chicken was served beautifully on a platter and it was absolutely stuffed with loads of fresh thyme. The aroma bleed throughout the chicken which was simply sublime. Mouth watering stuff! We usually love ( prefer ) doing “beer can chicken” on the BBQ at home and next time I’m stuffing it with fresh herbs before the can of beer goes up the backside 😆.. So simple, and so good 🙏
