Good morning everyone, today is a very important day. 100 years ago WWI ended! It is a very special day for my mummy as she is Polish😃 Time for a little history lesson guys😉National Independence Day (Polish: Narodowe Święto Niepodległości) is a national day in Poland celebrated on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of the restoration of Poland's sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918 from the German, Austrian and Russian Empires. Following the partitions in the late 18th century, Poland ceased to exist for 123 years until the end of World War I, when the destruction of the neighbouring powers allowed the country to reemerge. It is a non-working day in Poland. We're leaving in England now and 11th November is also a meaningful day in here! Remembrance Day (sometimes known informally as Poppy Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth of Nations member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty. Following a tradition inaugurated by King George V in 1919,the day is also marked by war remembrances in many non-Commonwealth countries. Remembrance Day is observed on 11 November in most countries to recall the end of hostilities of World War I on that date in 1918. Hostilities formally ended "at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month", in accordance with the armistice signed by representatives of Germany and the Entente between 5:12 and 5:20 that morning. ("At the 11th hour" refers to the passing of the 11th hour, or 11:00 am.) The First World War officially ended with the signing of the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919. So here I'm proudly standing in front of polish flag wearing red poppy, I also wanted to raise awareness about all animals in a war. Purple poppy is to remember all animal that died during war and please remember guys, they were not heroes, they were victims 😞 #bryndebear#remembranceday#poppyday#poppyappeal#purplepoppy#rememberinganimalsinwar#independanceday#100#100years#polishindependenceday#redpoppy#instaplushie#instateddy#pluszowymiś#dzienniepodleglosci#100latniepodległości#polskaniepodległa#lestweforget
This is one of the most beautiful street art I have ever seen! Simply stunning ❤️💛💜💙💚It took the all-female street art crew two weeks to complete the mural which covers the entire side of the office building.
At over 21m tall, the mural is one of the biggest in the North of England and takes inspiration from the political and local environment. The artwork depicts a female nomadic character complete with literal beehive hairstyle. She is set amid lush vegetation, symbolising new beginnings and the growth of start-up businesses within Liverpool.
The artwork features a number of themes, from the image of a poised female nomad entering the city of Liverpool to the bees that represent the beehive of 180,000 bees located on the buildings roof. The developer installed to beehive to assist with the UK’s falling bee count.
Nomad Clan immersed themselves in the challenge, saying
“We are extremely proud of what we’ve produced and hope the people of Liverpool like the mural as much as we’ve enjoyed producing it, in our signature Nomad Clan style. It has a playful nod to the beehives on the Tempest building and city with the Liver Bird and sea holly; which is Liverpool’s native flower emblem” #bryndebear#streetart#mural#graffiti#urbanart#art#modernart#cityart#liverpool#spraypaintart#femaleartists#pluszowymiś#instateddy#instaplushie#plushielife#plushiesofinstagram#plushiecommunity#nomadclan#tempest#streetarteverywhere
I have a new pin! And it's for a charity as well, same as those two sweet cookie bears ❤️🐻❤️ BBC Children in Need (also promoted as Plant Mewn Angen in Wales) is the BBC's UK charity. Since 1980 it has raised over £950 million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. One of the highlights is an annual telethon, held in November and televised on BBC One and BBC Two from 7:30 pm until 2:30am. "Pudsey Bear" is BBC Children in Need's mascot, whilst Sir Terry Wogan was its long-standing host for 35 years. A prominent annual event in British culture, Children in Need is one of three high profile British telethons. It is the only charity belonging to the BBC, the other telethons being Red Nose Day and Sport Relief, both supporting the Comic Relief. Following the temporary closure of Television Centre, the telethon broadcasts take place at the BBC Elstree Centre. #bryndebear#childreninneed#pudseybear#pudseybearbadge#pudseybearcookie#charity#supportingcharity#cookiebear#pluszowymiś#instateddy#instaplushie#plushielife#plushiephotooftheweek#cookies
It might be #plushiehalloween2018 but let's not forget it's also #plushiemusicwednesday and it is time for our weekly #brynsmusicselection . Today a band that you can probably tell by the photos that I'm a little obsessed with ❤️ and as you can see it is quite special to me so I have special guests like my twin brother (I shared my pumpkin outfit with him) and Yoko.
Radiohead are an English rock band from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, formed in 1985. The band consists of Thom Yorke (vocals, guitar, piano, keyboards), brothers Jonny Greenwood (lead guitar, keyboards, other instruments) and Colin Greenwood (bass), Ed O'Brien (guitar, backing vocals) and Philip Selway (drums, percussion). They have worked with producer Nigel Godrich and cover artist Stanley Donwood since 1994. Among Radiohead's earliest influences were Queen, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd and Elvis Costello, post-punk acts such as Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Magazine, and significantly 1980s alternative rock bands such as R.E.M., U2, the Pixies, the Smiths and Sonic Youth.
By the mid-1990s, Radiohead began to adopt recording methods from hip hop, inspired by the sampling work of DJ Shadow, and became interested in using computers to generate sounds. Other influences include the jazz of Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Alice Coltrane, the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, 1960s rock groups such as the Beatles and the Beach Boys, and Phil Spector's "wall of sound" production. #bryndebear#bryndepumpkin#radiohead#discography#musiccollection#pluszowymiś#plushielife#catsofinstagram#vnyl#instaplushie#plushiesofinstagram#yoko#rockmusic#alternativerock#electronicmusic
Good evening dear friends on today's #brynsmusicselection Queens of the Stone Age, an American rock band formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California. The band's line-up includes founder Josh Homme (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar, lap steel, keyboard, percussion, backing vocals), Michael Shuman (bass guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), Dean Fertita (keyboards, guitar, percussion, backing vocals), and Jon Theodore (drums, percussion). Throughout its career, the band has been described as alternative rock, stoner rock, alternative metal, and hard rock. Homme has described the band's self-titled debut album as driving music, angular and recorded dry, with the album featuring solid and repetitive riffs in its song structure.Rolling Stone magazine also noted a "connection between American meat-and-potatoes macho rock of the early 1970s, like Blue Cheer and Grand Funk Railroad, and the precision-timing drones in German rock of the same period."The band's following album - Rated R - contained a wider variety of instruments, several recording guests and lead vocals shared by Homme, Oliveri and Lanegan.Homme has also commented that "Our first record announced our sound. This one added that we’re different and weird."The band continued to experiment on their third album, Songs for the Deaf, which also featured a line-up including three lead vocalists, many guest appearances and wide range of instrumentation, including horn and string sections. Homme has described Lullabies to Paralyze as a "dark" album, which includes imagery inspired by The Brothers Grimm folk and fairy tales. The album changed gears from the band's previous distinct "driving" sound, much due to the departure of longtime member Nick Oliveri. The band almost exclusively used semi hollow body guitars during the making of the record. With Era Vulgaris the band continued to develop their signature sound with more dance-oriented elements and electronic influences. #bryndebear#plushiemusicwednesday#queensofthestoneage#quotsa#instaplushie#musiccollection#vnyl#stonerrock#pluszowymiś#rockmusic#palmdesert#plushielife#recordcollection
