Zach is fearless, and a phenomenal fighter. We had a fun weekend at Youth Nationals. Didn't quite go how we wanted, but it definitely added fuel to the fire. Zach has an unbelievable amount of untapped potential. I'm stoked - Growth Mindset - time to open up the floodgates and utilize his full athletic strength. This is easily just the beginning for him πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Highlights!! - Zach hit an easy 101kg for Snatch which is a Youth, Junior, AND Senior Utah state record. This tied him for 3rd which would have had him for a medal by bodyweight, but was given to the athlete who took the attempt first. He went on to take 106kg with a slight overpull which resulted in the bar crashing just a little. Thaaaatt was dope to watch, 106 right around the corner πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ€™πŸ»

UPDATE: Today is the Big Day!! Chloe @chloe.wise has been having a blast, eating "weird food", adjusting to the humidity, has a had a stellar time dropping the kids off at pool with the food flow (bathroom experiences - yes those are the texts I get πŸ˜‚πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ€™πŸ» love ya Chloe πŸ˜‚πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ€™πŸ») and has just been KILLIN' it in the deload up to competition day. This is one of her openers that she hit on Tuesday πŸ‘ŠπŸ»πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€™πŸ»

I am so, so proud of her and everything she is doing, becoming, and learning. She, has truly, the mind and heart of Champion. She's earned this. She is this. I can say without a doubt in my mind - she's ready.

This whole thing has been an awesome learning experience for me. Unfortunately, Private Coach's are self-funded for events like these. That was an interesting experience for me. Man..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜­πŸ˜‚ I learned a lot with that one. I didn't make it out there. I learned a ton about how to prep for these things and what to do. I am really grateful for this experience, and even though I am not out there with Chloe physically in this moment, my heart is out there with her πŸ’šπŸ‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€™πŸ» I know this is the just the beginning - for everything. And man, at the end of the day - I am so blessed and so thankful to be able to teach. To Coach. When the body has given its all, it is the mind that pushes it further. As you can see before my 3rd front squat I nearly passed out, it would have been easy to drop the weight and call it good on the 2nd. But @bradenjenkins told me 3, so I did 3. MIND over MATTER πŸ’ͺ🏻 This lift was at 120Kg (264lbs)

Balance is evenly distributed between the front and back legs, thinking of pushing into the floor evenly in both directions (pushing the floor apart) so you can create a "triangle like" structure. Don't wanna be a sideways pyramid πŸ€”πŸ“

The torso lives and drops in the space that you dip through. You don't want your torso flying backwards or flying forwards excessively 🌬 Hence the barbell stacked in  front with the plate, push your head through slightly past the barbell but don't bang the torso into it πŸ’₯

Back knee is slightly bent with heel raised. Squeeze back glute, but not in a way where it rotates/twists the hips. Hips and torso (Bracing) need to be a box" facing forward still πŸ“¦βž‘οΈ
