The car has retrofitted original m tech 1 styling. After a few years I found the BBS RS wheels I wanted. 9/16" and 10/16". Recently mounted KW V1 coilovers.
The plan is to have this car as well as buy more cars for my collection. I have previously had E60 and now got F20.

We all heard how rare they are, how much they love eating money. But, they were never around. I grew up with 80s movies and in there is always a lot of sports cars. Long noses, pop up head lights, short back. The 8 seems like the best of 80s and 90s designs without being dated. Pop ups not counting, lol. It's hard car to date. I can remember the advertisement that made me notice BMW's. It was the Z4 land shark billboard ads.

CAD helped the E31 achieve a drag coefficient of 0.29, which for the time was very low.
For reference, the drag coefficient of the Ferrari Testarossa was 0.36, which was praised as being low! 😉

📝 When I was little my father had a e30 324d. I really liked it, but back then I knew nothing about BMW's. Growing up my first car was a VW Golf mk2. Then I bought my first BMW, it was e30 318. Then the love for old cars really kicked in, and now I have e12, e28 and two e30's. 30 is the biggest number after E what I still accept 😁. I have built engines for e30 and e28, both are turbocharged and running on ethanol.
E30 is m40b16 340kw and 499nm. Running on 2.8 bar of boost. •
And E28 is m10b19 282kw and 531nm. Running on 1.7bar of boost. 💨

I've been passionate about cars since my childhood, thanks to my dad. He took me to many car shows and exhibitions. He thought I would like it, and I did. Also my dad owned a GAZ-63, which was his project car. He was building it in his garage and I was almost always around there, helping and listening about cars. That's how you become a car guy. -
I fell in love with BMW's, especially E34's after seeing one at drift event in Biķernieki racetrack. It had V8 turbo engine, making mad sounds and impressive drift. So it became a dream - low E34, sitting on nice wheels with V8.
Later when I got my driver's licence I was searching on the web for E34's and my dad noticed that. He remembered that our family friend got one. He called him, to ask if he was selling it. Owner said yes, for 2.000€. I didn't have that money though. I was working on my first summer job, so I said no. Week later I got a call from my mom, and she asked if I wanted the car. Stupid question, right? Of course I wanted the car, but all I knew about it was that it was black, with white leather interior.
Owner owed money to my mom, so I got the car. It was '92 520i. So I got it for 1.000€. One part of a dream came true. 👌
Car was owned by my family friend for many years. It was mostly kept in the garage so it was in good condition. -
First thing I wanted to change on the car were those ugly wheels. I was very ashamed of them. 😄 Later I bought BBS RC090, which I've rebuilt. So far I have lowered the car, changed interior parts to black, fixed rusted body parts and repainted them. Also changed all brake and fuel linings, made exhaust louder and many other smaller things.
Future plans? I definitely want to keep my car for a long time, to do V8 swap, bigger brakes, coilovers, half rollcage and rebuild my BBS wider, because now they are only 8J wide.
I forgot to mention that I want to repaint the car and get M-sport bumpers. 👌😄
