I've personally given up on hot cross buns at the moment but will try again next year. I find it hard sometimes to push through and pretend that my special alternatives are actually as good as the real thing. And since hot cross buns were one of my all time favourite foods, trying to pretend that my gluten-free, dairy-free and low FODMAP version was good was depressing me. So I'd actually rather go without.

Not to worry though. Normal dark chocolate is still on the low FODMAP menu. And thank goodness for that. So I'm going to stick with the foods that still taste right to me, that I enjoy, and that don't upset the belly. Mmmmm... chocolate 🍫🍫🍫

{New recipe} Creamy Coconut Spiced Carrot. An easy low FODMAP side dish that packs a flavour punch. The spiced carrot is beautifully fragrant, with a hint of creaminess from the coconut milk, plus a touch of freshness from the coriander.

It goes really well with simply cooked proteins, which means that the rest of the meal doesn’t require much effort. And it will also hold its own when served with other curry dishes, since they’ve got similar flavours, but this side won’t add to the heat.
