It has taken me years to openly talk about my past....Today marks 9 years since I lost my best friend to suicide. In some ways it still feels like it happened yesterday. I lost not one but two of my best friends to suicide. I found one of them, but it was too late to save her.
Life has been a rollercoaster over the past few years. I have learned how to heal and to forgive myself. I have learned to love others unconditionally and help those in need. To never take friendship for granted.
Recently, I have started working on a project that focuses on #suicideprevention . It’s in the very beginning stages and I can’t wait to share more about it as it comes together.
New job is SUCH a blessing but also so exhausting! Learning a whole new role and getting used to the 1.5hr. one-way commute! As tired as I currently feel... I am happy. Thank you to everyone who helped get me to where I am today. I couldn’t have done it without you! 📷: @kellybrookephoto
