RepostBy @saintlousassembly: "We’re counting down the days until our Dog Days of Summer party this Saturday! Bring your fluffy, four-legged friends to our patio from 2-5pm for dog treats, fun in the sun, and photo opps. Along with the doggy kissing booth, @andrew_glatt of @pupsofsouthport will be joining us to take photos. And for our human attendees, we’ll have special Salty Dog cocktails made with @titosvodka, and all proceeds from those drinks sold will benefit @chicagocaninerescue:" (via #InstaRepost )
When faced with a hard decision, or a decision when the right thing to do is not the easiest, always choose LOVE.
Cat walked into my life on a random Thursday evening. I had absolutely no idea what his story was, but @govey23 and I brought him into our home lovingly.
Cat stayed with us for ten days, not the easiest days. My own cat was quarantined, my dogs were sent away, but we wanted to focus on Cat. When we realized he was thrown away, we had Cat neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and nursed him back to health.
When we found out Cat was both FeLV+ and FIV+, we needed help. My friend Tammy jumped right in and helped Cat as well. She provided all of his vetting services, and helped watch Cat on nights when I had to focus on Tucker’s health.
When Cat was declined by almost every Chicago area shelter due to his condition, @chicagocatrescue helped walk me through his diagnosis and @thecatcade was so frigging nice helping to find Cat a loving home. Also need to give a shout out to my girl @rescueinstyle who is a sucker for cats. She connected us with SO MANY people and sent us amazing sources for help.
When I felt helpless, people gave a damn about this sick little kitty. People chose love. Not finding Cat the best home he deserved was the ONLY option regardless of how my life was turned upside down.
After creating a Facebook and Insta account for Cat, a sweet friend of mine knew the perfect home for him. I brought him for a meet and greet last night. And low and behold, Cat found a forever home.
Cat, now known as Joe, hit the jackpot in life. He healed a sad heart, he was saved, and my heart is full. I will always miss my special needs Cat. I will always love him dearly. I will help another FeLV+ cat if I ever have the opportunity to.
Always choose love, and I’m so happy I did. Love you, Joe. Thank you @govey23. And Chicago Cat peeps, you rock.
Much love to all, Beckie & Joe

YOU all ARE AMAZING! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing my story and following me. My foster mom has been crying all day, she is so grateful for your support. I am being neutered right now, but will share an update soon. Thanks again y’all, keep loving FeLV+ cats, we deserve love too. Love, Cat

Hi guys! Meet our newest roommate, Cat! I rescued this guy praying he had a loving family and awesome home. Looks like I was WRONG.
Cat is both FeLV and FIV positive. I am having him neutered this week. He is loving and loyal and just one of the best cats I have met.
Please consider sharing him or seeing if anyone you know might be interested in Cat. If I didn’t already have @tobythecat_13, this would be a no-brainer. Thanks! ❤️🐱
