Ramping DOWN workouts || I never thought I’d have to step down my fitness game until I became pregnant. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dealing with the anxiety or negative talk that comes with having to decrease your regular exercise routine due to injury, illness, and even pregnancy can be hard! I used to run 3 miles a day, get in 4-5 HIIT or boot camp classes with weightlifting in each week, and recovered by sweating in hot yoga classes. But not any more! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now my workout habits consist of walking as much as I can throughout the day, gentle yoga, and barre classes. TOTALLY different, and way less intense. I can’t even jog anymore! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Physical recovery || it’s something that I always focus on regularly.

No matter what I’m going through there is some form of physical recovery needed.
* replenishing your muscles post workout
* Hydrating your system after a night of too many glasses of wine
* Sleeping an extra hour the morning after a strenuous day
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of my biggest forms of physical recovery coming up post birth is going to require extra time resting, mindfully moving, and nourishing myself so that I can be the strongest mama I can. An ingredient that I always use for physical recovery from ANYTHING is turmeric! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Turmeric is a super potent anti inflammatory and you bet I’ll be adding it in my recipes every day post lil bubby boi AND once I’m done breastfeeding I’m going to incorporate additional healing herbs that will help my muscles/joints repair like magnesium and Boswellia! I found a supplement that has turmeric, magnesium and boswellia all in one @avieforlife  and I can’t wait to start supplementing with it once lil bubby boi is here (in addition to customizing what I eat etc). 24 weeks preggo this week ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m already up close to 30lbs (given I still stay very active and eat healthy a *majority* of the time). Though I have my moments of: “WTF I’ve never been more than 7lb over my normal weight in my life”, I refreshingly feel liberated that my  inner dialogue has evolved from constantly fretting over my weight and how my body looks to realizing that there is SO MUCH MORE to life than how tiny your waist is or what the scale reads. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
