The girls spruced up the sorority for the holidays: garland, trees, a little reindeer...
Evangeline brought candy canes and placed them in the kitchen while Kat made sure everyone had a stocking.
Lavender's friends felt uncomfortable with all the garland and bulbs and cheeriness, but Lav had no problem. She knew having the balcony room meant garland, and since they went all out for Halloween it was only fair.
Iris wasn't the only one getting special treatment. The fridge needed replacing, this newer model is shorter, slimmer, and has a viewing window (to keep an eye on those sodas!) It gave the kitchen a chance to be spruced up, rearranged (cuz it's totally doable in the doll world) so I opened the floor plan. Now, the kitten kibble is out of reach, because little miss fluffy butt has been tearing into it lately, and there's no elbow bumping when it comes to cooking.
Iris got a surprise room makeover over the thanksgiving wknd. She left, having dinner with her fellow dorm mates' family, completely oblivious to a plan all the rest of her sorority sisters set up.
They found a twin size bed and small vanity and replaced her loveseat sofa and large vanity, giving her more sleep space. Didn't take much to switch out the furniture and prep the room and surprise their pink haired friend.
Needless to say, the gift was well received.
Daddy's Little Helper While Bryan separated chicken into one night dinner portions, December stirred the chopped up chicken in the skillet. I gave her pointers on how to hold the spoon and the handle. She's becoming more eager to help in everything, almost to the point where she gets underfoot, but she just wants to help.
Flea market haul from December 1st. This is just my stuff, I also bought a few things for my daughter but she never lets me photograph them, I barely get to clean them off before she's off and playing with them.
Finally got the Disney villain blind bag figure I wanted! After buying a few boxes and getting doubles and uncommon characters, I couldn't get the most common one. Go figure.
Acquired 3 MH dolls, as is. Picture Day Abbey, Freak Du Chic Jinafire, and Home Ick Heath. He was missing shoes.
A Darling Charming and Prince Ben (who needed redressing) and an articulated Christie missing half an arm.
Don't know who the MLP is though.
Kronos got out the other night, ran merrily through the neighborhood like a happy dork and finally came home with a bloody cheek. Whatever got him, got him good. These pics are from today, so he's ok with me touching him.
Poor silly boy.
So, this is me surrounded by my three younger brothers. Yep, I'm the short one.
And then, here are almost all the grandkids. One was staying with his grandparents. You can just imagine the chaos of the house, small as it already is, cramped with kids and food, with Mom and I scrambling in the kitchen with all the sides, my husband smoking the turkey in the backyard. The kids table was the fun table, we had crayons and coloring sheets and that's where the cake was served.
I say we because I sat with them, lol.
Today, we say farewell to the Father of Superheroes. Stan Lee is an icon to many, his creative mind gave us many characters, all flawed in some way, that we can all relate to. His cameos in the Marvel films are the highlights of theater experience, and his sense of humor always put a smile on my face.
Rest In Peace good sir, your work here is done. Your legacy shall live on.
