The Car of The Day: The Land Rover Defender (initially called the Land Rover Ninety and Land Rover One Ten) is a British four-wheel drive off-road vehicle developed in the 1980s. A special edition Defender Works V8, with 400bhp, was announced in January 2018. The next-generation model, will be completely redesigned and come in two wheelbase sizes.

The car of the day: The Volkswagen Beetle, also know as the Käfer in Germany and in parts of the English-speaking world the Bug.
Lead engineer Ferdinand Porsche and his team took until 1938 to finalise the design.
The result was the first Volkswagen, and one of the first rear-engined cars. The Beetle is the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single platform ever made.
